Hi,

What is the problem with globespan getting ETOPS??

I was under the impression that they had got it back ages ago!!

How much extra flying time is this adding to the SFB run? Are they having to land in Canada or anywhere else to refuel??

In the 757, it takes 10+ hours with a good chance of a fuel stop in Bangor, Maine. With the 767 it's sub 9 hours without needing a stop.
We did this in March but we had the 767 out and 757 back which also doesn't need an inbound stop due to favourable winds. We were 10 hours out and 8 hours back with no delays.

Yes, then a bl**dy catering truck will run into the back of our SFB 75,the 76's will be tasked elsewhere so one of the 73-8's will be hauled into the programme, and it'll all go to ratsh*t again !
Forgive the cynicysm but TD has done now't to cover for what happened last year with the Icelandair and L'pool 75 fiasco ?
I may be wrong, but I'm sure GSM SCOT can clarify for us all ?

ROFL@ Jimmy Riddle

Now Now watch the blood pressure Jimmy.

Why don't you take a short break and chill out. We have some good deals on justnow or you could use staff travel.

P.S. If you can predict catering trucks runnning into the 757 this summer can you PM me next weeks lottery numbers when you get a minuite. cheers.

The games a bogey...

Damage limitation this year at best Iam affraid. This year alone. Cant see a future for GSM in the grand scheme of things to be honest. However stranger things have happened...

Not only GSM, but Jet2 also... Put it this way, if established carriers are feeling the pinch, what chance do GSM and Jet2 etc etc have?

I doubt you would ever see Easyjet or Ryanair going under. With these guys on your patch its difficult to see the light at the end of the tunnel for the smaller outfits.

With fuel prices rising weekly, how much longer can the smaller 'no-frills' operators carry on?

My blood pressure is just fine GSM SCOT, had a medical last week. The Doc told me I needed a change of scenery-think the shed loads who have left over the past 6 weeks have seen the writing on the wall too and changed their scenery.
They probably tried staff travel to get away before pulling the big plug.
Book anytime on any trip you want except those days with with an 'a' in them-it's a useless 'concession'.

I notice that you didn't address the real issue-what plans are in place to cover the inevitable break-downs this summer-answer-none.
We shipped a 737 crew to SFB to cover a broken windscreen, we will do now't and p*ss it all away again this summer. We'll end up serving SFB, YHM etc with 737's cos no-one has any bigger ones to lease and TD has leased 2 767's and will work the other and the scrapheap 757 to death.

The shed loads who have resigned over the past 6 weeks have seen the writing on the wall, they're off now before the airline crumbles and leaves 110+ 737 and 60+ 767 jockeys looking for a job.

As a novice here it would seem to me that Jimmy Riddle and GSM Scot are in the know!

I see that Flyglobespan have some super (Cheap) prices certainly for the next couple of weeks and have now released their schedule for SFB for next winter.

I hope that whatever it is that is the problem with FlyG will get it sorted out soon!!!

Lads (And lasses) try and keep your chins up-some of us (Pax) appreciate it

Positive Attitude

Christ...You guys need a reality check..crews and management teams

You`s have the opportunity to strengthen your airline in the market

Flyglobespan have a fair name in the industry.

The rest bow to takeovers & buyouts.
I wish I had the chance you are getting .get a more possitive attitude and work together to solve problems, not invent things that may or may not happen.

I would like to see GSM develope not sink!

The airline is in a very strong position. GSM have their Travel Agent and many other businesses, not just the airline. GSM have started to release their Winter 08 schedule, with many more flights to come on sale still. FAO, PMI, ALC, AGP, BCN, GVA, GNB, YHM (probably weekly flight).

Leases over the Winter of the B763s and 1 B738 makes a lot of money. TD has been reported that he will look at floating the company when the company is placed to do so.

Winter 08 ABZ

Webby, any more to be released for ABZ? I would imagine it's something along similar lines as last time - TFS & AGP, maybe throw in PMI?

Assume W-patterns for winter, or any more rumours that it is a based aircraft with W's originating out of ABZ (given that TFS seems to originate in ABZ?)

Thanks for any info

Think the B73G will position in from EDI to operate the W08 flights. AGP to be released. Think that will be all for ABZ.

Vancouver

HI Guys,

Just a quick question. Slightly confused here. Do FlyGlobe have a 767? They are due to operate Dub - YVR from June through August and I'm worried it won't operate. There appears to be alot of speculation about their fleet. So just wondering if they actually possess a 767? and does it normally operate ok.

Thanks

Shamrogue
