GSM Scot. Must pass on our congrats for SFB performance over the weekend.. . 757 only an hour out (fast refuel too) and using A/C on the Sat that can make it westbound on the scenic route without refuelling made a BIG difference...the 767 was early out and back again..

Is the same 75/76 switch planned for the rest of March/April??. Hope so. This week has proved you can do it...

a google map search on Toronto to 'Toronto' Hamilton pulls up 83.4 km time 1 hour. Don't try to tell the residents of Hamilton Ontario that they are now part of Toronto. Maybe those involved will wake up and give correct descriptions when a legal action is raised due false advertising?

You could say that to the people of Glasgow, Prestwick too.

Or what about Paris Beauvais, 105 km from Paris, Stockholm Skavsta, 100 km from Stockholm or Barcelona Girona, 92 km from Barcelona. Hamilton is close to Toronto in comparison.

Toronto's a big city -depends on where about you are travelling as well. If you fly into Toronto airport, you have to go through the city to get to downtown - Hamilton is on the 'right side'. Worked well for us last year. And if you want to go to Niagara, flying into Hamilton over Toronto saves you time on that trip.

Gatwick appears as a London airport on most holiday booking sites - how far is that to London City centre?

The point is Hamilton is a completely different city! And nowhere in it's name is 'Toronto' included.
All I say is define it as so and don't call it Toronto, (same for Prestwick) Gatwick , & Stansted are defined as 'London' as they are not cities in their own right, Luton is London Luton, they have their own city. Hamilton is a city, and is NOT part of Toronto.

Having been to Hamilton, it's the smallest city I've ever set foot in if it's a city. Nice girl in Subway though, she'd never heard a Scottish accent. It's that kinda place....

Want a small city?. Try Brechin. If you blink on the bus going through it you'll miss it.

It's hard to believe that someone in Hamilton has never heard a Scottish accent before since Hamilton and the surrounding area is full of Scots. Everyone I know over there is either Scottish or has a Scottish relative.

Would anyone care to speculate on how secure the MME base will be in the next few years, will Globespan do a bmi baby or are they there for the longer term?

Sorry for being a boring swot, but put Hamilton, Canada into Wikipedia and you will find that there is a Scottish-style castle there!

G-cdra / B

What is happening with the 737-600's?
Both flew Edinburgh - Southend 28 Feb. Conflicting info regarding their status. Initial story was that they were to be sold to a leasing company and leased back. Now some say onward to SAS whilst others say that the deal has been cancelled.

I've just been told by Globespan that our flight on Thursday GLA-SFB will be on the 757 with no fuel stop. Anyone care to comment? Looks like a full flight too, only 3 seats left this morning.
