How about starting a little ****storm on their UK facebook page?
https://www.facebook.com/klmuk
Apparently this is the communication channel of choice nowadays to force some co-operation from large companies.

Already tried KLM's Facebook page, no help what so ever, they just don't care. Hope people act and don't book with KLM, sorry Manston I support you very much, but not with KLM, who change your flights to suit them and then won't help you!

Don't really think this thread is on the correct forum, but I've looked up the flight from AMS that day - the first one -, and it's now running 55 mins earlier. This must be to allow more groundtime during turnround for the publicity events and so on that will undoubtedly be taking place. Shame for you, but not really grounds to start slagging off the company and exhorting people not to use the service.

Jes get real when an airline changes your flights they have a responsibility to the passenger KLM have done nothing, did not even inform me, if you actually check they are saying flight will leave at approx 09.15. Is this really the type of customer service in an airline Manston needs or wants. I am fully behind the airport used EU jet from its first day.

Quite from Manston on their F/book page.. Jes was right..
The reason for the change of times to the first flight is that KLM have organised a large event at Manston to launch the new service, so we will be having a big celebration here with press and local media and due to this it was likely that the service maybe delayed so they have changed the times to avoid this.
They also say ...
It's the Manston Airport Holiday Show next Saturday (2nd March)!!Make sure it's in your diary as KLM will be giving away 2 long haul return tickets to one lucky winner!

I can understand KLM want to celebrate the route from Manston, it just would have been nice if they thought about the passengers flying into Manston from Amsterdam on the first flight rather than just leaving us with major headaches.

Connected from elsewhere through AMS yesterday morning and I must say it was a strange experience to hear a public announcement calling for two missing passengers "booked on KLM flight XXXX to Manston".... Wasn't aware that this was the inaugural flight, though.

Kent fast bowler Adam Ball returns to Spitfires squad for trip to Holland after missing Nottinghamshire Outlaws game due to university exam
Wonder why the Kent team did not fly from Manston???
Kent newest death-bowler notched his highest one-day score for Kent...
...Ball flew to Holland with the rest of the squad from Luton airport on Thursday evening.

With KLM now flying from Manston it would make a natural departure point for the Kent team.
