Meridian
Meridian Airways operate 5 DC8 freighters. Currently operating from Ostend, a Belgian forum says they'll move to Manston from June. I believe they have been enquiring at Manston for office space etc.

Flybe MSE flights
Yep, looking at the flybe website, MSE is down for arrival and departure from 27 May.......a quick look and it seems to be a daily service through to the end of October......Good news.

Manston FLYBE
Needs to be a double daily to work times just don't work for the business user who want's to stay overnight in EDI just to go to a meeting for an hour or two? Might be ok for the leisure pax but I'd be surprised. Don't know why Flybe don't trail the route properly it's the strongest domestic contender for MSE and a no-brainer!

Gentlemen of Kent - pass the word around. It's use it or lose it. The prices are cheap, and it has to be easier than going to LGW or STN. It's being operated by an EDI based Q400, which is busy earlier and later.

The direct flight ex MSE is simply to EDI, where you can connect onto the Loganair service to Kirkwall and Sumburgh provided you don't mind a three and a half hour wait in EDI.
Good news for MSE getting the EDI service, but what a pity that the departure time is so unfriendly to business travellers. Only a twice-daily MSE-EDI will really test the viability of the route whereas the Flybe service is just a gap filler for an EDI-based aircraft, as is the MAN-BOH announced earlier this week.

Good News
In the old days of EUJET the Edi flight was often full. I think it did two flights a day and so was attractive for business and pleasure.
Hopefully people use this service but the flight times will surely hold back the business users.

maybe if they get on and advertise they may create a bit of interest from here. I only know of these flights because of this forum. Havnt seen anything in the local rags or on local radio.
