Now Joshua is hoping to get a career with Jet 2.
He'll have a go at BA first if OAT put him forward!!

Shunter:

For info, I was an OAT graduate and not one person on my course of 16 funded their own ATPL from someone other than a bank lending the money. In my case, 3 loans!!!

However, all 16 entered airlines and the loans have almost gone

Was it worth it???? YEP!!!!

What the is going on with this TCK Sitaution at LBA today.

Las Palmas flight has landed a hour early at 1800.
Malaga took off 3 hours late yet is expected to arrive 7 hours after schedule.
Larnaca is delayed and the gate as only just close according to the webiste at 1847.

But onlt only that most other flights have been delayed diverted. I live down the road in Adel and it is windy here i would say about 20 MPH if not more. LBA is open space and higher up so could they be expericing very horrible winds??

Jet22, Looks like TCX had it organised today to make up time on their delayed LPA, Should be back to mere normal by tomorrow

Remember the My Trouble days with their Canadian A320's they were always delayed all through the summer.

They couldn't 'polish' a Turd.

Hi

The delayed inbound TCX483L Malaga flight is been operated by Flightline MD83 G-FLTK.

The 11 hour delayed TCX862L from Las Palmas & the 2 hour delayed TCX654K to Larnaca have been operated by the based Thomas Cook A320, G-SUEW.

So by the looks of things Thomas Cook should be back to normal by tomorrow morning.

Your list of movements consists of arrivals & departures to each point. Divide by 2 for actual number of services each week!

With fuel costs so high it will be interesting to see what the final tally of routes & frequencies might be for the coming winter.

You are quite correct - apologies for not making that clear.

The tables, of course, represent movements and not capacity (though I'm happy to do the stats if anyone has configs).

I find it odd that we are most frequently (apart from Belfast and Heathrow) connected with Southampton.

Somethings got to give there in the current climate don't you think?

I flew into LBA from Faro yesterday afternoon... most hellish landing I've ever had, and I've had a few. Very windy.

Didn't bother me at all, but emotions were running high throughout the cabin, suffice to say. Tears the lot.

Respect to the pilot. He was telling us all the way from Portugal that it was going to be a bastard of a landing. Good stuff.

There was pandemonium in the terminal. I think there was a problem with baggage and some flights were canceled as a result, seemingly. Wasn't able to ascertain the exact reason.

Sorry to hear that Harrogate, Hope FAO was ok

It was a 'Fine' old Gale yesterday thou, My friend's sheep on his farm not far from the Airport went on strike and wouldn't move fields!!

We nearly had flying sheepLOL

Seriously, Just seen an advert for PIA in the T&A 2 x week to ISB.

So it is happening now.

Also congratulations to Jet2 Holidays for a trouble free booking for me & my wife to PMI.

It only took around 10 mins, And the price & hotel was excellent.

No hassle like some other operators, In and out of different pages.

Staying at the BQ Apolo Ca'n Pastilla - Has anyone been??

Paradise for me watching the arrivals from the hotel.

Regards.

As SNN seems to be getting the push, any chance of Aer Arann restarting Galway?

Unlikely I'd say, as Aer Arann are short of aircraft at the moment and don't really have free aircraft to start new routes. The axing will probably strengthen Aer Arann's Cork-LBA route however and perhaps they may look at going back to a daily service in the future?

The final Shannon-Leeds flight will be on July 2nd leaving Dublin as the only Ryanair destination from LBA.

Anyone any idea why tonights TCX DLM is going straight to MAN. I assume a tech problem of some sort?

Seems unlikely to be weather related:

I think a flightline MD83 did the Manchester > Mahon which is cancelled for the return journey so it may be going to MAH to bring people back before coming back to LBA later on tomorrow for the 06.35 Palma

@ strelnikov

Please note that flights from LBA to HER, OLB, CFU, REU as well as VRN are NOT scheduled but charter services.

Thomsonfly is also operating only leisure charter routes out of LBA, no scheduled services at all.
