Aer Arann pulls Cork ?

No flight bookings are possible for the LBA-ORK route after the end of August. Come on Ryanair, three or four rotations on this route with middle of the day timings and your pricing structure might just work.

IF Aer Arran are to pull off the ORK I for one would far rather see Jet 2 take up the slack than Ryanair.

Now that we have lost Galway, Shannon and now Cork, surely now is the time for Aer Lingus to come back in and offer connections via DUB. USA connections would also be a major boost.

The only Irish connection Aer Lingus could offer is SNN

Air Mediterranee

I see this Lourdes flight arrived 10 hours late.

Given the nature of these flights, that must have been a difficult situation.Anybody know why it was so late?

OK my curiosity has gotten the better of me, please explain why EI could only offer a link to SNN, is here something precluding them from a DUB or an ORK service for that matter?

OK thanks, I was distracted by the fact the other post referred to US connections via Dublin which of course they could offer, unless they drop more T/A routes of course.

Anyone had the 'pleasure' of being stopped by the 2 women on the MBNA credit card stand??

Checked in last week, And was on the way to cafe, They pulled me up and put a 'clipboard' in my face and didn't understand = NO.

They tried to pull me over to the stand, But was unsuccesful.

Nothing like a 'hard' sell.

Surprised LBIA let them stand.

MBNA activity
Same at LPL though they do not seem that pushy. Airport makes money from this activity that's why they allow it. I wouldn't have thought it's good for PAX relations though!

This may seem a bit harsh but telling them to go forth and multiply usually does the trick.

The best response is simply to say you never respond to any form of hard sell.

It won't work with extreme salespersons but it works with most.

I just ignore them and walk straight past them. If they get pushy, you could threaten to have their collars felt by the airport transplods for harrassment, especially if they actually try and grab you!!!, but let's face it, they aren't even worth the effort these people.

youve got new routes to ALC and GRO from Ryanair. Appears in the online check in options on Ryanair.com.

Well done, even MAN doesnt have ALC from Ryanair (probably because its overserved by charters and from Easyjet)

MBNA, Just tell them you don't live in the UK, they leave you alone immediately.

Additional Ryanair routes

Alicante starts 28 October operating TuThSa, FR9078 arr1930, FR9079 dep1955.

Gerona starts 01 October operating MoWeFrSu, FR9396 arr1440, FR9397 dep1505.

Dublin still shows 3x MoTuWeThFr and 2x SaSu in their reservations system despite the strongly rumoured reduction in service.

What will the response be from Jet2 regarding their Barcelona and Alicante winter programme?

It's official, not a rumour. FR announced it in their press release about DUB cutbacks. System probably not updated yet
