Was on the first flight out to Gatwick this morning and had a nice wee diversion to Bournemouth due to low fuel. Made a VERY late Go Around at LGW due to a 777 stuck on the runway, and pilot didn't hang about. Got into Gatwick for 12:30 or so. Weird and scary experience.

So do you think the South Pier is nearing reality?

Good to see Continental go almost daily BFS/EWR during the winter, with Friday being the only day it doesn't operate. I thought Fri would have been a popular day being close to the weekend!!!

Departures to Geneva 10.10 (EZY) and 11.10 (EI) this morning, another route which has the potential for over capacity. Do you think both planes will have good loads!!!!

So is this a good time to judge, when the majority of traffic is to Belfast and outbound pax falls away as we get closer to Xmas?

caa stats out for November BFS pax numbers down 3.6% from last Nov. BFS/STN down slightly, LTN/GLA/EDI all down however a reduction in capacity by EZY on these routes wouldn't have helped, EMA down 16%. FR carried over 24,000 pax on BHD/STN where did they all come from. BHD possibly carrying more on the London/Belfast corridor for the first time in recent years, haven't sat down and worked out the totals to confirm. Interesting to see what happens when the free flights dissappear at BHD

See from the bhd site that the FR from LPL is running 3 hours late, due 23.30. What will happen, will they divert?

haha. No, from where I live I can see the departures from 22 over the city but can’t see the actual runway. I saw a Ryanair 738 takeoff and then make an extreme hard left turn whilst another plane appeared to fly right over the departure path of 22 at a low attitude.
Initially I thought it was a go around when I saw the 738 make a left turn so shortly after takeoff but when I saw the other plane cross the departure path of 22 it looked like there was a conflict.

Maybe somebody who works at the City can give us a little more information.

Was on easys website and saw that in the summer they'll increase the Gatwick flights to 6 a day. Do you think this will see the end of flybe on the route from BHD?

Does it really surprise one. I mean who in EI decided 'EZY do BFS/GVA daily why don't we muscle in there, sure EZY are a push over we could duplicate all their routes after all Belfast has a large catchment area similar to MAN or DUB'. EI could have tried Zurich instead in my opinion!!!!
