Alghero

Yes ,twice weekly Mon/Thur .Interesting choice of destination.I thought they may have been targeting Venice ( hence why Monarch didnt take it up) but wasnt to be. Bratislava is now 5x weekly (down from daily this summer i think) to make way.
Remote based units used from Kaunas,Arrecife ,Tenerife and Gran Canaria.
seems all summer 12 is now loaded with the exception of Girona.
Will have to look closely to see if all LTN based units are fully utilised

Story in the Sunday rag yesterday states that concession fees to the council from the airport came to £22.2million for the 12 months ending March 2011.

The money is being spent in keeping my council tax bill down and the building of the Aquatics Centre (posh name for a swimming pool) as well as providing money to front line services.

ABTN or what ever it is called now are carrying a lengthy article regarding what the council might do with the airport in the medium and longer term. There is a one off opportunity to terminate the existing agreement with the Spanish owners by serving 1 years notice next year. Bearing in mind that the growth at LTN has been fairly good over the last number of years and the uncertainty in the market, are the council likely to do it. If they don't do it at this opportunity the agreement will run for another 15 years.

Unless the concession fee has gone up from £1.43, the figure is inaccurate.

Tarragona, Nov 22 (EFE) .- The Irish airline Ryanair has put the sale on its website flights from Reus airport to London Stansted and Luton, reports the company.

Specifically, as of March 25 can fly from Stansted to Reus and two days later, on March 27, will open the route from Reus to Luton.

These two routes are added to those already available from Reus, in the same time, in the direction of Charleroi (Belgium), Weeze (Düsseldorf, Germany), Bristol, Dublin, East Midlands, Frankfurt, Glasgow and Manchester.

On November 6 activity ended at Reus Ryanair, which will resume in March after the renewal of the company's agreement with the Catalan institutions.

Reduction in Monarch flights from Luton to Tenerife

Just been checking availability of flights to return to Luton following my winter sabbatical here in Tenerife and I cannot believe that from My 2012 through to the end of October they only fly on Fridays (2 flights) and Saturdays (1 flight). Well at least Ryanair fly 3 days a week.

It looks like it was every day apart from Wed and with two on Fridays.
So l guess they have, but maybe the a/c are better served on other routes, with the reduction of a/c at LTN.

Looks like the time posting error has not been fixed, this is obviously a reply to previous ericlday post 3721.

Maybe because it is mainly classed as a winter holiday destination.

You wouldn't think of it solely as a winter destination by the visitor numbers in the summer period. Not sure what your number of weekly departures were S11 but they were certainly more than 3. Have Ryanair had that much of an affect on your TFS business then ?

Split

Wizzair S12 flights to Split now bookable June 26 - Sept 8th (Tue /Thur / Sat 06.00 dep) so one based unit again-will we get two.
Same as this summer so not an extended season as many had hoped.
Hopefully Dubrovnik should follow

Very disappointing...

I heard from sources the frequencies and the period the route would be running for was going to be increased...

There are a couple of cheapish fares, but the majority of the fares range from £80-150 each way... Seems like they are cashing in on route purely only during the peak travel period.

giles - like Ryanair, Wizz sometime charge high fares when flights initially go on sale, lower them about 3 minths in advance and then raise them shortly before departure.
