Extra Turkey flights?

Press release on the airport website suggests an extra flight to Dalaman will operate this Summer due to high demand, initially the extra flight will be on a Wednesday in May, before moving to Thursday between July-October.

Glad to see these flights doing well as I'm booked on the original Wednesday one.

Is this good news at last or am I just being a Turkey?

Its not an extra one as such, Holidays4u always planned to have 2 and this was announced last year. I have a feeling when it moves to Thursday it maybe shared with Goldtrail. Certainly the flightnumbers match up, mind the H4U times seem to be all over the place on their site so who knows

Details seem to now be confirmed on the 2nd Holidays4u flight.

The original one is
OHY3541/2 1940/2040 on Wed nights, presumably an A321 like last year

In May the extra one is OHY4671/2 0900/1000 on Wed mornings then July-October is OHY4673/4 0640/0735 on Thu mornings .... any ideas what aircraft these are planned to be? A321's too?

Flight change

Does anyone know whats happening with the onur air flights we have just had ours changed from a 1400 flight on a Thursday to a 0200 flight on the Thursday.
Not happy.
Does this mean the 1400 flights have been cancelled.
Thanks

I'm also booked on the Wednesday Onur flight to DLM in July, ours got changed too, from late night to early morning (must be the 1000 departure?)

Ours changed for the better though fortunately.

My sources tell me that an anouncement is imminent with good news.Mind you I was expecting a change in management before the end of the financial year and that didn't happen.
Couldn't find out even which area the good news was in but as the management team is still in position it could be this that is saving them.

They're gonna have a car boot sale on the runway every Sunday between 0900 and 1400

But first the bad news.
Blackpool has lost 70% of it's passengers in the past month but Teesside comes in second at 50%.

Not another sweep stake!

I suppose Ryanair has that many other bases Teesside could become a new route from the bases.

I see the Southside fence is in place today.

Obviously not many of our correspondents actually use the airport nowadays or they would know. The private lounge was open last time I flew from there in October but I wouln't hold you breath or make special arrangements before you get there.

Methinks the journalist hasn't spent much time verifying the statements he/she was given !

Peel Airports has said although passenger numbers are down, Durham Tees Valley’s figures are no worse than the majority of other regional airports

Actually, it is true that DTV is currently no worse off than other airports similar in size as illustrated in the 'league table' published in this month's Airliner World.

MME is 28th out of 58 airfields above NQY, BLK, NWI and HUY. However, this was based on 2008 so will not take into account the loss of bmi and GSM.
