Change that. First Embraer most likely to arrive in LCY will be G-LCYE iso YD. Heard delivery was around SEP 8 for YE. (all due to birdstrike on delivery ex REC)
In the meantime a picture I took today of the A318 at stand 24. Click on the picture to see more. (opens in new window) Will the A318 remain there until the first flight on SEP 29th? Can't see LCY airfield ops 'lending' a stand for weeks to an idle aicraft. Any video's of it doing it's business out of LCY?
I must say it looks really good!

The aircraft is due to depart LCY as BA9152C at 12:50 arriving SNN 14:15 once refuelled and those onboard have cleared immigration in SNN the flight is due to depart SNN 15:00 at arrive JFK 17:15 local. Which is the same schedule that BA001 will operate once the service starts. The aircraft is then expected to return to LCY from JFK the same evening arriving LCY on Wednesday.

Video of the landing, seems like a shaky cam though if you can bear with it. Other videos on youtube of the same aircarft too taking off.

Sure I saw it landing about an hour ago. Heard a different engine noise looked up saw a bit of wing disappear behind 1 Canada Square and reckoned it was the 318.
Anyone confirm?

You should find it here - just input LCY in the "route contains" field and enter the date

LX will operate 43 weekly flights ( 7 x Daily M-Fr, 4 x Sat, 4 x Sun) using their RJ100's. BA's will operate 8 x weekly ( 1 x daily M-Fr, 2 x Sun) with a mix of RJ100 and E170 aircraft and F7 will operate 11 x weekly flights using a DH4.
That is a total of around 5,600 seats a week. Is there enough traffic from LCY to GVA to sustain 62 weekly flights through the winter??

For what it is worth, I believe you'll find that the 'middle' operation of the day will depart LCY, transit through GVA and continue to Venice.
The operation, then, is:
Morning: GVA-LCY-GVA-VCE
Afternoon: VCE-GVA-LCY-GVA

Morning: GVA-LCY-GVA-VCE
Afternoon: VCE-GVA-LCY-GVA

Certainly didn't work then, number of through pax was typically just a few, and sometimes not even that.

BA looking at adding IBZ and PMI from LCY
Does this risk an impact on the short check-in time at LCY when a much higher proportion of pax are carrying large bags, or possibly don't fly regularly and need longer to be processed by security and get their backsides to a gate and board ?
