i love LCY
great pics thank you dutchbird. The E190 is almost the size of an A319/B733 (external dimensions)
this is a great development for LCY
will they ever be able / want to park aircraft nose in for push back on the new stands?

Well, some of the ground guys at LCY are saying that it will have to be parked nose in due to the fact that the windows on the departure lounge are not strong enough to take the jet blast if its parked tail in.

the E190 was doing approaches to 10 late this arvo did some impressive climb outs and can fly minimum clean 180k which is slower than an rj 100(190k)

Jeez!
Just look how close those engine pods are to the ground. I will be very interested to see one of these beauties make a landing in more than a 15-kt crosswind at LCY!

Hopefully someone will upload some footage to Youtube.
The E190 is now parked on stand 21 but according to sources they wanted to try and fit it on stands 1-4 but it didn't fit due to low wing and wind/tip clearance. My guess is it will park on the normal stands but TIPO style. (Taxi In - Push Out)
About the dimensions; E190/A318 and ATR72-500.
Although the Embraer 190 is almost 5 meters longer, it's wingspan is almost 5 meters shorter. And not as tall as the A318.
Embraer 190
External Dimensions
Wingspan 28.72m
Length Overall 36.24m
Height Overall 10.57m
Horizontal Stabilizer Span 12.08m
A318

Height 12.56 m.
Wingspan (geometric)34.10 m.
ATR 72-500

Overall height 7,650 m
Wing span 27,050 m

I have pics to upload later of her parking, but had the pleasure of watching her takeoff and land whilst waiting for my flight yesterday lunchtime - looked effortless taking off in what I assume was an empty aircraft

Did anyone tell Obama et al that there were test flights on short finals (LCY on 10 today) going on immediately above all their heads in Excel ?
In Washington they panic if a Cessna 172 gets within 10 miles of the White House.

Chaos this morning due to a telecoms problem apparently - facing a nigh on 3 hour delay in glasgow as all other BA london flights full! I hope some company gets bent over for the collapsed tunnel...

Klm Lcy-ams
Can someone in the know advise if KLM gave the above route to CityJet at the start of the 2008 Winter schedule or in the New Year?
I have read down the thread to no avail. Thanks!

For the pedants amongst us, it's often a CityJet aircraft operating on the VLM flight code, all nicely tied up with Air France and KLM.
Either way does anyone know when KLM stopped using their own metal on this route? Thanks!
