Luton Airport lost a court case with Greenline when National Express won the tender. Now they both operate from the bus station.

The difference between Luton and Stansted is that the tender was for more than one coach operator - IIRC National Express and ComfortDelGro (Stansted Citylink) were the winners at Stansted. I guess Stansted's argument would be that this ensures there is still competition between coach operators in the Stansted-Central London market

So when should we expect coach fares to London to rise and by how much ? Will a single on the coach to London soon become an 'excellent value' £20 and a coach return an 'even better value' £30 ?

Thomas Cook - Summer 2016 - Mainland Spain Additions
Possibly replacements for NBE - Thomas Cook adds mainland Spain to it's Stansted summer network
Reus (Costa Dorada) & Almeria
29/05-06/06 & 24/7-04/09 STN-REU 0730/1030 REU-STN 1130/1240 MT7056/7
27/07-07/09 STN-LEI 0900/1240 LEI-STN 1340/1530 MT7482/3
Surprisingly the only charter services to any mainland Spanish airport ex Stansted.

A new experience at STN yesterday to add to the collection.
Arrived on the mid-afternoon Germanwings from CGN. Parked on the Bravos (unusual as its normally the Alphas) Disembarked to find the transit train out of service (maybe the reason for parking on the Bravos). Ok, it happens so it was a bus to the terminal. However, did they drop you at the terminal? Did they f**k. We were dropped at the far end of the Ryanair satellite and had to walk in. Once in immigration the usual chaos with home made arrows printed on A4 paper, people confused as where to go and long lines. The place is a complete joke

Have to say you were either unlucky or I was very lucky in that instance. Having used Stansted a few times of recent during peak times I have to say the airport experience on arrival was good compared to previous times. I have had bad experiences of Gatwick's arrivals when I last used the place in the Summer.
I'd still rate Gatwick's arrival experience above that of STN. They could still learn a thing or two from London's second airport, but overall STN has improved considerably on the last two occasions I've used it and was pleasantly surprised.

Orlando
I recall this was questioned some time ago as there was apparent duplication in TCX operating times but it seems they really are operating 10 x weekly to Orlando this summer. It now appears to be a daily flight with a second on Mon, Fri and Sun. Fri and Sun flights operate half an hour apart, Monday has a 65 min gap. That is an extraordinary capacity increase, even if it is just for a short season.
Of course there are the TOM flights to SFB too!

Connecting Ryanair and Southwest Hubs
There are now widespread reports of both Ryanair and easyJet feeding long haul as an extension of their existing operations. How long before Stansted sees daily trans- Atlantic to NYC, LAX, YYZ etc.? and links through a Gulf hub? It's going to be a while before any if the traditional hubs beyond Rome, Madrid and Dublin have enough LCC volume to make the longhaul feed worthwhile.
My bet is 2017 will see regular services from STN both east and west, announced before end 2016. The question is who? What about connections with the Southwest hubs in the US?

Wowzz
Sounds to me you don't understand this industry what so ever.
Most London airports are full at peak times, but this should not impact on any longhaul flights from Stansted.
Transatlantic departures and arrivals would fall outside of peak times at Stansted in fact transatlantic departures would almost have the terminal to themselves.

Daz - you MAY be right about the flight timings, and yes, I may not know a lot about the aviation business, but I do fly a lot, and STN is my least favourite UK airport, and is now even worse than it was before, thanks to the recent 're-modelling'.

Google is your friend
Bagso.the LCC feed topic has been very active in the aviation and business press over the past six months, with talk of feeds by ezy and Ryr to both legacy and Norwegian. LGW is an obvious step but STN has a big gap to fill. Seems likely to me that for atlantic in particular a tie up in Europe with RYR at STN and SWA probably at BWI is likely. Emirates is proving the model in US already with Jetblue
