Transaero are also expected to announce there increased Moscow-Miami schedule for the summer and will stop in SNN. Just awaiting the FAA to make the decision. Not sure if passengers to/from Miami/Moscow-Shannon can be carried but I think Moscow-Shannon would be allowed.

Suprised it hasn't being posted but December passenger numbers at SNN increase over 20%. Although 2012 saw a 14% decline overall.
Cosidering there was nothing major added to the schedule (that I can think of) thats a very good result for the month.

There was a near-daily Sun Country 737 in both directions. It even went through on Christmas day. If your numbers include transit passengers then that would have bumped up the numbers.

Unaccustomed as I am to defending Ryanair i believe the reference to Faro in the press release is actually the already-announced Aer Lingus service. Ryanair have announced additional Malaga and Palma, not Faro.

Sadly Mlinnie I think we've seen all we will for a while from EIR at SNN. Their focus now appears very DUB driven, ramping up frequency against FR and no doubt improving transatlantic feed is part of that plan.

Im hearing that getting the PIA transit flights may be under threat.
It seems LHE airport may be about to pass its US security audit which will allow PIA to serve LHE-USA direct. SNN/MAN are only served due to the requirement of the USA to be screened at MAN/SNN, so eliminate the requirement, you eliminate the stop over.
However, if the flights do go ahead at SNN, you may see the B77W as its just been announced that the aircraft will replace the B77L from March until May at least.
