Cool. Hmm, would you advice withdrawing the current application (I submitted in mid Nov) and applying again when the next round starts or can I keep the current application alive?
Cause I am wondering if the HR team will look at past applications that are still open together with the new ones (assuming mine is still open).

Hi all, I have a query which I feel this is the best place to ask since most Singaporean pilots and aspiring pilots would view this thread.
In 2-3 years time I plan to apply for the SIA cadetship, failing which I will enrol in a flight school to obtain the ratings and take up any flying job available anywhere. I have been saving up like a miser and if I choose the flight school route, I will be using up all the money I have.
Over the years, I have been tracking the ups and downs of the industry through this forum and elsewhere, including the schools available locally and worldwide.
Therefore, I am very curious to understand the difference in costs of enrolling in a local flight academy like STATA vs. flight schools in Florida. Why does the CPL in Singapore cost upwards of 120k while in Florida it is around 90k (based on USD69k). Is there really a difference is the quality of STATA (ie. better than those in the US)?
I ask this having read numerous posts on how self-sponsored cadets in SIngapore have only a slim chance of landing a flying job locally; would it not make more sense to head overseas where the chances of landing a job is much greater (i.e. assuming that I am willing to relocate to any part of the world where employment is possible and available)?
I really hope to hear a response from someone in the industry, and please pardon me if there may have been some ignorance in my posting.

2. Local == cheaper cost of living, assuming u live with parents. Overseas, u'll have to pay every single thing when u're having zero income.
3. Job overseas USUALLY favour locals, like M'sia. You might be flying junks to build hours if u can find a job overseas and been approved a work permit, which means more money, again.
Why not u just apply for the cadetship now and see how it goes? U're of eligible age right?
