"Well yes, Amanda, I agree that your anthropometrics are... er... spectacular. But I'm still not willing to sign you up for a Harrier ride".

or:

"Very nice, but I'm not convinced the Corporate Affairs people will go for it as a calendar shot. They're more likely to use it for John Reid's Christmas card".

......... and if we move onto the next slide, you will note that this airframe features slotted flaps and twin Bristols.

"As Amanda undressed for bed, she felt relatively safe..... Her bed had been cunningly redesigned to remove the possibility of having a Breitling hung on the headboard"

Here is a fine example of one of the new series of recruiting posters. Inexplicably, the Royal Navy version has proved markedly less successful.

Quite, Onan. Perhaps the fee for the RN Recruitment Poster was not as good as the fee from the US Navy.

Bloggs was surprised and delighted by the way in which squadron pilots were congratulated by the AOC on reaching 1,000 hours on type.

Is this what they mean by making a topic a sticky?

For the benefit of those poor sods with size-related download limiters (the original is 180KB):

Don't let it be said that AT doesn't look after you! BTW, is it my imagination or has the view meter on this thread gone into overdrive since Rakshasa posted this one?

Haven't heard from Beagle for a while - could the shock have got to him? Half expecting something along the lines of: "Was better in my day.."

Getting over the shock, old bean - and rather busy with work for our Tcherman chums!

People-formally-known-as-WRAFs were rarely as shapely as that little honey during my time in HMFC.

Some were though... Ooooh yes.....

Smost odd.... I can see some previous pics (not all) and not this.... must be a block put on by my lovely employer.
Can't access the www at home as my new wireless network has crashed ... was still working upstairs until I started to fiddle. Have reinstalled windows and put the old ADSL modem back but still no joy.
Ah well, I'll spend a couple of hours fiddling tonight, then pull hair out, then sob as I'm obviously missing a marvellous pic.

You should have joined the Royal Navy, Beagle old bean. She'd have just about scraped in to the Wrens, but only on a very wet Thursday in February
