Third place is Onan the Clumsy with:
"The dogem boats had seemed a good idea at the time, but now, as he gazed fearfully at the conductor rising above him..."

Second place Conan the Librarian with:
"Martin Baker are proud to announce the new zero zero Mk.25(M)seat for marine useage"

And the winner is Onan again with:
"Come in number WEE your time is up."
"We don't have a number WEE"
"Are you having trouble number 33M?"

Ah, the old ones are always the best ones.

I hardly know what to say, except "Ohhhhh Nnoooooooooo. I have to search for a piccie now "

Well, this is th best I could come up with so have at it and I'll judge next weekend.

And just to eliminate 30% of the possible replies, I'll start off with.

"I don't know what you're smiling at David...you're next"

David wasn't sure he'd grasped the concept of the Yeovilton "Pull a dog" competition, but all agreed, when he submitted his photo, that he'd covered all the bases.

The FRES Arctic series was proving to be a bit of a dog in the latest round of user trials. The lack of armour was one problem, as was placing the power unit's exhaust directly in front of the vehicle commander.

Great to see Airborne Artist back, but following on from ADR

"Dave Bloggs was going to be a natural in the cart. According to his friends, he had been pulled by dogs throughout his Naval career"

Conan

PS edited from Air Force to Naval on account of the face full of fuzz.

Due to their inside knowledge, David and Gloria had had better success with their earlier invention: The Midget Submarine.

Dog: "I can't bear to look at her, she's at least a 4-pinter, and if 'Russell Crowe' beside her thinks he's gonna put on 200 pounds of gladiatorial armour and climb into my chariot with a beer-belly like that, he'd better think again"

Having finally got tired of treading in the stuff, Gladys and Fred had Fido fitted with the revolutionary self poop scooping trailer.
Fido wondered whether it was really necessary to have that rod placed exactly where it was.

Perhaps the procurement branch had accepted the proposal from Honest Arthur Daley PLC for the Sea Harrier replacement a little too quickly, though in fairness, a cursory glance through the document late on Friday afternoon had revealed the important words "Nose" and "Tail".

~~~
It was only realised later that the phrase "ingests large quantities of fod with no adverse effects" was a typo and should in fact have refered to "food".
~~~

"No adverse effects" was of course an overly hopeful assesment.

Jeremy seemed pensive as he opened another can of Ken-O-Meat. The in flight refueling trials were going well, though more slowly than he had anticipated.

===

...like all ab-initio trainers, it had fixed gear.

===

The joystick was centrally located and allowed some very precise movements of the control surfaces

Oh sure the dog looks cute now, but wait till they fit it with the locking black leather slave hood with inflatable penis gag and zippered eye holes. Woof!

The most recent PPrune caption competition caused considerable difficulty to prospective participants, who despite much thought and careful consideration could not establish with certainty which was the dog.
