This early test of millimetre-wave imaging clearly shows a concealed pelican. Modern equipment gives somewhat improved resolution.

Yes indeed sir, as you can see they are slightly less co-operative than sheep but there's more to hold on to.

It's called a 'bill' sir. You wouldn't have handled one of these before.

..and fully out-stretched they have a span of about 9 feet; the pelican's wings are also quite large!

HRH at EGVL

Nice set of captions for this pic of HRH visiting CFS at Little Rissington in 1973.

Mentioned in Despatches is adr with "Sorry about the wine, Sir. Chuck it in here if you like. Things aren't the same since PAYD came in."

AOC's Commendation for Boogeyboard with "It's called a 'bill' sir. You wouldn't have handled one of these before"

And tonight's star prize (FX: drum roll, fanfare, thunderous applause) goes to Speedpig with "What a marvellous shape for a urinal. May one go first?"

Over to the aforementioned . . .

Budget cuts down at the skunkworks.

It is the new 'one stop ops base' for conscientious and punctual rockapes.

Upstairs for confession and number twos, downstairs for number ones, bloodhound launches and winding up the grandfather clock.
Bird table comes as an expensive optional extra.
