it means they realize that even after the online testing, still way too many people passed, which is something i assumed.they just cant invite 1000+ people to luton.somewhere along the line they have to take out applicants, which is exactly
what going to happen now unfortunately...

A4 10th Jun 2013 11:23

Interview at the assessment centre? Due to cost and sim availability, I'd be extremely surprised if they put you in the sim prior to interview. They want to know if you'll fit in to the "Orange order" prior to any technical/non-technical assessment.

Swept 10th Jun 2013 12:23

Are the guys who got the reply today TR qualified or non-TR? Slightly confusing email re the one received 3 weeks ago. Also surprising that there isn't a deluge of posters. The plot thickens!

Superpilot 10th Jun 2013 12:44

TR'd, below a thousand on type

Swept 10th Jun 2013 12:54

Don't forget there were 2 different recruiting threads. Non-TR and TR. Is this email for the TR guys and the one 3 weeks ago for the non-TR guys? It would make sense that they can assess the TR guys more easily from CV, flying experience after the online-assessment, get them to HQ and assess further and process them. Then later this summer assess the non-TR guys as this may be more difficult.

Thoughts......

Just read.

This will consist of an assessment centre and, if successful, a simulator check.
First assessment centre THEN if successful the SIM ride.

Assessment centre will most probably consist of Group exercises, english test, system test on the Airbus (for those type rated), and finally one on one interview.

For the record, i am type rated and I got the two e-mails. So not sure about the TR and non-TR e-mails.

cyrilferrandini007 10th Jun 2013 15:03

Hi guys !!

There is something i don't understand ..
is it an email to confirm that you have been successful or is it an email telling you that your application is being reviewed to determine whether you will proceed further or not ?
Thank you for your answers.
Im non-TR . Only got DTC 3 weeks ago . No news since then .

A4 10th Jun 2013 15:08

Avro,

I was responding to DIRECT DIKRO's post - he seemed to be questioning about when any interview would take place.

AvroRider 10th Jun 2013 15:44

Just got an other e-mail to schedule my appointment.

transitionlevel 10th Jun 2013 15:53

Nothing here yet, maybe they're inviting type rated first. Any non-tr had an email since getting the DTC?

It's a bit strange that they sent out an email saying they were looking through cvs only to send out booking info a few hours later. Finger trouble perhaps?

SCINHead 10th Jun 2013 15:57

TL - Same . Nothing here yet.

McMax 10th Jun 2013 18:02

A bit confused... first got an email with the standard that they will come back to me for an assessment centre..
But just right know got an email that I'm out...

So good luck to all of you!

DTC 3 weeks ago, >1500tt, >1000h on the bus...

transitionlevel 11th Jun 2013 09:08

Has anyone else been sent booking details for assesment? I'm surprised more people haven't posted with news.

Perhaps type rated are being dealt with first?

Serenity 11th Jun 2013 09:55

Type rated people first?? Many left?

Interesting when the monarch rated courses are full of easy type rated people

Superpilot 11th Jun 2013 09:57

Like McMax and AvroRider, I got the initial email yesterday 9am telling me to expect further news but then then unlike McMax and AvroRider I've not heard anything since.

G-IZMO 11th Jun 2013 10:13

Anyone send me the link to the careers centre log in? I've lost the bookmark.

samca 11th Jun 2013 11:38

No news for me also after DLC. Let see what happen?

Superpilot 11th Jun 2013 12:11

Gizmo, hope you're not trying to make a booking without an invite! ;)

The only link I know of right now is THIS one

Swept 11th Jun 2013 12:35

TR or No-TR

When you post can you include TR or non-TR. Speculation is that this is the first tranche of TR qualified applicants but who knows. The Italian forum is reporting similar emails for TR qualified pilots.

AvroRider 11th Jun 2013 12:55

To sum up on my side :

Yesterday morning I got this :

...We are now completing our final review of applications and CV’s and will be short listing the candidates that will be invited to an easyJet assessment centre in the next 2 weeks. If you are successful following final shortlisting you will receive an invitation to book yourself on to an assessment centre, so please look out for this and log in to see the available dates and times as soon as you can.
Then in the afternoon they asked me to book an appointment for the assessment.

3500+ TT Jet/Multi-crew
700+ TT Airbus A32F current and employed

Wish you all the best !

flyhigh2fly 11th Jun 2013 13:20

I still haven't heard anything either. I presume they will start interviewing type rated first and then move over to non type rated. It could mean that we could be waiting for news couple of weeks at least for non tr.
Non tr: 4000hours TT

Who knows!

huntedbynumbers 11th Jun 2013 19:23

Hi everyone,

received yesterday email for scheduling an assessment.

TYPE RATED
More then 6000hrs
More then 1500hrs on type
More then 5500 jets

G-IZMO 11th Jun 2013 19:27

Cheers.

Nah! Was just wondering what my status was after this latest confusion. Does seem like TR'd first then the rest.

DTC then nothing since. Non typed. 3000 TT / 2500 jet multi crew.

canadairjet900 12th Jun 2013 13:23

In and out!

I received a mail weeks ago congratulating me for having passed the intenet assesment, and 2 days ago I received another mail telling me I'm out...
I wrote them but I've had no response yet...
Good luck with the next step for all of you!

G-IZMO 12th Jun 2013 19:23

Are you type rated?

canadairjet900 13th Jun 2013 05:07

Yes.7000TT, 6000 Crj series and 650 A320.

nicob 13th Jun 2013 10:54

Any news for non-TRs....?

Superpilot 13th Jun 2013 13:03

A question for the guys that have got an invite for assessment....

Has your online application status changed from "Under review" to something else?

eaglesnest1972 13th Jun 2013 13:31

Now i am definitively sure...
ezy hr dept is reading this thread...

too bad...

f27m50 13th Jun 2013 16:27

why would you say such a thing eaglesnest?

eaglesnest1972 13th Jun 2013 17:25

Just my opinion mate...
i think ezy guys are aiming to people willing to pay for the tr and willing to wait ages before getting on the lhs...

JW411 13th Jun 2013 18:04

As a matter of idle curiousity, why should the easyJet HR department NOT be reading this thread? I would be very surprised if they are not.

They probably had you sussed a long time ago.

f27m50 13th Jun 2013 19:30

i honestly wasnt expecting anything else eaglesnest.... welcome to the aviation industry of 2013 on the european continent! go have look at our american colleagues across the pont....usually what happens there is always a pretty good prediction of what we are going to face..

FBOZH 15th Jun 2013 20:58

information recently heard from the horse's mouth:

200 pilots are going to be taken on this year, although, 300 have been advertised. 100 CTC cadets, 50 type rated, 30 ex military, and 20 non type rated.
Do bear in mind the low T+Cs that you'll be signing up for.

huntedbynumbers 16th Jun 2013 08:32

I am wondering:

how long is going to be for an upgrade for newjoiners???

A4 16th Jun 2013 15:25

Do bear in mind the low T+Cs that you'll be signing up for.
.....for entry into probably one of the most secure, profitable and dynamic airlines in Europe. An airline which is currently being heavily reported in the press to be on the verge of 100+100 aircraft order. An airline who has entered the FTSE 100 (currently mid 60's I think) with a share price doubling in 12 months.

The entry terms will be there in Black & White. IF the career path follows the recently announced New Entrant Contract then after 12 months you'll be an employee - not a contractor - with a defined career path and associated benefits.

No-one puts a gun to anyone's head and forces them to sign. Ten years ago it was "Golden Hellos" - they paid YOU to join. Market forces dictate that this is not the case any longer.

You simply have to weigh up the long term - but please, nobody sign up and THEN start whining about how awful the world is....:ugh: And before anybody throws the "you're alright" line - yes I am, and I've worked damned hard and sacrificed a lot to get here. There are few better places to be if you can look beyond the next pay cheque.

Good luck to all that get to the assessment/sim.

transitionlevel 16th Jun 2013 16:08

The lack of activity on this thread is odd. Is it because so many have already fallen out of the process?

I take it no NTR have heard anything since the DTC? Are any type rated folk still waiting?

A4, my thoughts exactly. As long as I can afford to live to a reasonable standard then I will be accepting any offer received and not moaning. (Maybe after 5 earlies the dog will get an earful).

Bubair 17th Jun 2013 07:49

Same as you....waiting to be contacted after the DTC.
Type rated, 10.600hrs 5000 on type......40y.o.

Alexander de Meerkat 17th Jun 2013 10:09

I know the hours you have flown are worn proudly (20K+ hours, 15000 PIC, 5000 on type etc, etc), but that is really not that relevant to the recruitment process. Once you have the minimum hours, that is one tick in one box. Being type-rated is another tick in another box (one that is not actually required). Those tests, however, do matter and how you did in those are very important. After that you will go for group exercises, interviews etc and finally a sim session. What happens there is way more important than your total hours.

SpGo 17th Jun 2013 11:01

Don't forget the "recommend a friend" box!
