Only 11 at the bottom of my bid pack

NIK_ 24th Jul 2011 15:21

Hello guys,

just a simple question. I am rated on B777 and A320, presently flying the B777 for two years (A320 four years in total) and have 4500hrs tt. If I pass the screening for BA, which fleet can I expect? Is it possible to go straight on the Triple seven or do I have to expect to start on A320 family, which is no problem at all for me, it´s only just to clarify.

Many thanks;)

Hi

Does anyone know if there is a more up to date list of BA's fleet and future deliveries than the link below on IAGs website which is dated Mar 2009.

IAG - International Airlines Group - Fleet / Product

Its difficult to prep for and interview when the companies own website is 2 1/2 years out of date.

Thanks

Ron, when did you get your application in? I applied Thus morn last week and still no news

Dihaz 25th Jul 2011 16:25

Ron-B,

I dont think there is a 744 sim at CVT.

Probably better doing it in a 783 - not much difference.

Wirbelsturm 25th Jul 2011 17:36

Dihaz,

That probably IS jumping the gun as the 783 is a long way off yet!!!

Perhaps the 738?

Has anybody who got the invite clicked on the FAQ's section... ?

I found it particularly amusing!

brian_potter 25th Jul 2011 20:48

Hi Guys,

I think Ron-B may be talking about the 747 'experience' in some blokes spare room in his house in Coventry! (I kid you not!) :ok:

I haven't been myself but I have heard of a few guys that used it as a bit of a 'nav raw data' refresher!...........but sorry Ron, I've no idea how good or worthwhile it is!

Hi,

Tx to all that have contributed.

Im doing the application now. What's a good answer to salary sought?

Where do i get the up to date starting salary for an F/O?

Coffin Corner 26th Jul 2011 10:11

It's not what we think is a good starting salary, it's what you think is a good starting salary.

master_warning 26th Jul 2011 10:13

From what I could see when I applied, it's also not a mandatory field to be filled in :)

bucket_and_spade 26th Jul 2011 10:23

Left it blank as it's irrelevent - you'll be paid what BA's salary scale says!

embraerFObmi 26th Jul 2011 10:56

any idea what the year 1 salary is? ppjn says £48500, but thats years old.

cheers

Any News

Hi,

I see that some people have already heard back from BA, both those with a "yes" and a "no". I applied last Wednesday (20th) and have yet to hear anything back. I'm not being impatient, I was just wondering if they were literally wading through applications in order or if they were filtering somehow. Has anyone who applied on Wednesday or after heard back yet?

If so, were you already Type rated? Hours etc?

Cheers :ok:

bucket_and_spade 26th Jul 2011 11:07

It's earlier in the thread if you trawl - we were told (on Day 1) £49,085 basic and to expect £10-12k in allowances etc. on top.

embraerFObmi 26th Jul 2011 11:08

thanks bucket and spade.

UN614 26th Jul 2011 13:41

Splashndash

I applied on Saturday 16th in the evening. Still not heard.

No idea how they are processing the applications but at least I haven't had a no yet, although I might get one soon.

d105 26th Jul 2011 15:12

Applied last week. Received the "No" today.

Coffin Corner 26th Jul 2011 15:57

What's your experience d105?
