Folks, is there any recruitment going on for experienced FOs who don’t make the DEC requirements?

High and Fast

I was given the high and fast approach during the sim as well. Side slipped her in beautifully. Instructor was well impressed but failed me anyway.

Recruitment

Hi guys,

I was wondering if flybe gives second chance for guys who didn't make it initially in the Ejet sim.
I have reapplied recently just waiting to hear any response from them, any idea of when the next intake is for DEC.

Cheers.

Have you been watching the share price? Might be a worth looking elsewhere for a while.

agreed their share price is worrying. However a dropping sp gives rise to takeovers and the market value for what anyone can buy them at will be much cheaper but they have a strong balance sheet which means they can sustain and with changes the sp could come up. It’s still a flying job and if it goes - their crew will be picked up by RYR for sure!

There is no consequence. Life carries on as normal until told otherwise.

Isn’t the MPL tied to the operator until converting to an ATPL.

If flybe get broken up for their slots then that poses a significant potential issue for those guys doesn’t it?

No, this is from the past. However, the MPL training is fully geared towards the company and a specific acft. So if you're in the middle of your MPL and the airline goes belly up, I wonder what situation you'll get into.

possibly, but then you did ask what the consequences are for current MPL students with Flybe up for sale, the answer is there are no consequences. Should Flybe go under (which imho is far off yet ) then that's a whole different question. I have a feeling we've dumped some MPLS in the past and I vaguely remember, but don't quote me, that there was a deal done with another operator to enable them to finish.

When Monarch had problems 3 years ago, before getting bust, they refuse to recruit their own, half trained, MPL.
Training on A320, fortunately for them EZY recruited most of them.

I don't know for Flybe, but if they do the MPL on dash Q400, it will be really hard to find someone to recruit them.

On what grounds do you base that on?
