Posts seem mixed on this Thread: On the one hand extolling the virtues of the terms and conditions of employment in comparison to Ryanair, yet on the other decrying the relationship between employees and the company.
Is this a dichotomy that can be resolved or do you think it is likely to be a downward trend for the airline and employees alike?

The HEL permanent contract is still not finalised. Version 2.5 is due very soon. There were many holes in V2.0 as regards seniority, how many were to be given the offer of permanent, what pay scale new joiners to the base would start on etc etc. . . . & lets not even mention the sick joke that was V1.0. 
The HEL base is not a standalone entity, and all Unions concerned are attempting to put in place a common CLA acceptable to ALL contract bases , with local variations in renumeration etc to take account of local laws holiday/weekend payments etc.
At least the Spanish Union SEPLA was able to announce this week that they have reached 50% membership within the current Spanish based pilots. An excellent result in the few mths the campaign has been going, & one that puts Ryanair to shame (not to mention the NAS LGW base if what I hear is true. . . Wakey Wakey guys, BALPA or BENDOVER . . .which do you prefer ?

If you did, you wouldn't even ask about "core" positions & you would know the contract is 6mths initially, extendable to 24 or 36mths, depending on base.
Recruitment is for "Contract Bases" (HEL/LGW/AGP/ALC/BCN/MAD/LPA/TFS) although, surprisingly
most FO's recruited early this year spent the whole of Summer in OSL (not their choice) thereby conveniently obviating the need to increase the size of the core workforce.
NAS are "top heavy" with FO's for Winter, so, why recruit ? and why are they just in the process of demoting around 40 Capts ? . . . Hmnn, industrial dispute. . . . . . strike action . . .some little "pioneers" eager to help out ? Cynical ? me ?
I guess you won't be worried that the "offer" is 800€/mth less than the current Contractors have . . .sounds a bit "Irish" to me

I'm told the TR is about 250 000 SEK and you can choose to either bond or pay up.... i also got the online assessment which i will do today.

If you imagine how much of that 250000SEK "cost" may, in all possibility, actually be "profit" for your potential employer, you will have answered your own question.
A certain other LCC is widely believed to have made at least 50% profit on the sum demanded for a TR, hence why they previously didn't care how many FO resigned . . . different now, as they are losing all their potential Capts. . .but that is another discussion.

10K for a 73-rating isn't much, tho. Would that be a ZFT or this can be done just be done with an approved TRTO program?

I think a friend once told me his easyJet B737 rating cost £17,000 in the early 2000s - so with inflation maybe circa £20,000 now (€25,000).
So €27,000 doesn't seem too far off the mark?!
Bear in mind this isn't just sim time, it's the Full Monty - groundschool, SEP training etc to get you through to the start of line training.
PS: ... plus uniform, pass, meals, accommodation ...

Air Baltic will sell you a 737 rating for €9900. Including landings etc.
Factor in perhaps another €1500 for the various ground school courses if you had to receive them externally as a stand alone candidate.

According to "The Employment Equality Directive 2000/78/EC" it is prohibited (with a few exceptions i.e. military, police) within the Eu to discriminate against age, concerning employment.
