I have perfomed the tests 2 hours ago.
First: you have a measurment of your competencies, it's just to say that you are more that than that... in the language of your choice.
Second test: it's a multitasking, you have to align the runway with an aircraft coming from the left side, during that that you have to say if the answer of the calculation is right or not and if the alphabetic order is right or not too at the same time...
Third test: it's verbal reasonning, you have different section of texts wich are again divide in other sections. You have 49 questions and you have to say that the sentence is right or fault or an other thing....
Last test: you have some sentence about being a pilot, and you have different sentences, you have to put if you prefer more this answer than the other answer...

For me, all was good but only stressing for the verbal, i didn't make all and i'm not sure that all my answers are right...

Hope a lot and see

The other "news" I heard, is that the Bus will be leased out when it is delivered, this "possibly" to change in the future once a certain critical mass of airframes is available.

I have been forecasting this since the order was placed . . NO well performing LCC operates a mixed fleet, & it seems more income is foreseen by leasing them, in preference to operating them.

It was announced last week that Norwegian will set up a leasing agency, further reinforcing the story I heard from a reliable source.

I have just read the topic again. I saw some pages before. That the most important for them is the CRM, inter-personal things. So, can you confirm that they still look more the tests with your reaction with problems as a pilot and your personality than the other tests ( multitasking and verbal reasoning)?

I haven't done these tests, they were different before, however, it seems that a "high score" is not the priority for pilots . . . as a breed, we tend to fall into the high average bracket, indeed achieving max points may be a demerit broadly speaking, what you say has some merit, I believe they are still looking at "the person" as closely as the test results. . .well, I got in. . . so keep hope

So the Contract Pilots now only get a 6 months contract initially? Was this always the case even in the last batch of recruitment?

"Initially 6 months contract period with the possibility to extend to 24 months (36 months some bases), thereafter permanent employment in a Norwegian company at the base."

Are they hiring without time on type or without typerating at all these days?

I know of a couple of acquaintances who got hired without type rating almost a year ago, but dunno how it is now.

NAS on line assessment

I took the NAS test earlier this morning.Same test that i took with SCOOT 6 months ago.The only difference is that SCOOT had a feedback for you within the next 15 minutes. They dont expect from anyone to complete all of the 46(or was 49) Qs in the verbal reasoning test. They do say that in the instructions.I believe i got up to the 31st.Does anyone has any updated info on salaries rosters and bases available for FO's.All the best to all of you out there

I would be very careful to leave a permanent job for a 6 month contract with only an "option" for extension. History has shown how "options" might work out. Ask the pilots in Helsinki how their option for a permanent contract looks like these days. Apparently the conditions for new joiners (FOs) have been reduced as well. The allowance and the basic salary were cut. Of course you will only find out during the interview...By now Scandinavian new-joiners should have understood that their dream about being based up north (except HEL on amazing conditions) is over. Many FOs are leaving the ship already to SAS, EK, EY and others...

well it says about a 2 year contract and be based in a none Scandinavian base.So in my opinion (and considering that after 12 months you have a good chance of upgrade) its a good deal. Its out of question if 6months contract is only in force

Are you still able to choose the HEL base now after it has become a permanent base?

Im not working for NAS but I would imagine that they still use contractors in HEL and it's not Scandinavia so I would hope that there is a chance to get there! But as we all know, you have no clue with airlines in todays world what they are up to.
