That I have not been told. I would guess that a 737 would be best as the sim check is usually in one and cadets tend to get put on them to start with.

But that is just my guess......

Wink Jet2 my opinion

What can I say, job security, wage increase, 500 hours a year, ability to take two months off on half pay or part time, company pension - 6 percent f/o - 8 percent capt if you contribute 4 percent, 3 RDO's a month, 36 leave days that can be combined with RDO's, and a good group of guys to fly with.

Lower pay than some, yes but when you take into account prices in the North, commuting costs ect. I think we have a pretty fair deal.

Take home F/O - approx 3200 with 18 sectors -
Senior F/O - approx 3500 with 18 sectors

Am I happy, very much so, I may have the odd long day with four sectors but home every night, no deep overnights, and the ability to take winters off without using my Hols!!!! I personally think many people forget quality of life, and yes for some quality of life = lots of money, not for me, couldn't pay me enough to live in London or the Sandbox......

Couldn't be more happy....

Fleet allocation at Jet2?

Sorry if this has been covered recently - this thread is huge. Are Jet2 still hiring onto both the 737 and the 757 fleets? Are seats on either fleet allocated based on anything other than fleet need (i.e., more experience needed for 757)? Also, what are the most likely pilot bases for new hires?

Cheers for any updates!

Jet2 Hiring

There will be more hiring for 2013 from what I have heard, roughly another 65 or so.. As far as fleets and bases, I can't answer that, I would be speculating.....Probably winter hiring and training to be ready for spring summer 2013... Hope that helps

They have to do a head count now, that boy just got on the first aircraft that was boarding, could have been any airline.

Most of the blame should go to the airport security not the airline!

I read somewhere that the young stowaway was in a toilet during the headcount.

This thread is supposed to be about pilot recruitment at jet2.
Should all of this other rubbish not be on another thread?

Calm down. See post 1301 for latest gen.....I doubt there's been much change in 9 days.
This is how it will go ; jet 2 will recruit this year for next year. Everybody applies; we got thousands of posts saying " have you heard anything ?" 15 mins after applying. Jet2 choose who to interview - we get thousands of posts saying " does anyone know how to pass the selection ?". We then get thousands of posts saying " have you heard anything ?", whilst surmising various theories about whether it's good or bad to hear anything.

Next year some get a job. The end.

Hello,

My CV is in the Jet2 database, but since there are no opened flight crew positions on their website which I can apply for, I'm not sure having my CV somewhere in there is enough.

Anyone working for Jet2 have a tip?

Thank you
