Yet another advert out from Jet2 asking for type rated people with 'various' contracts on offer. I'd heard they had finished recruiting so what's going on ?

Yes, the new advert appeared on 5 April 2011 in Flight Global, which is copied below. Looks as if they are short of experienced pilots.

The indication that they need experienced pilots is NEW element in the advert and is that JET2 now accept DIRECT ENTRY SENIOR FIRST OFFICERS. Considering that JET2 has always maintained that promotion to Senior First Officer could only take place after two years employment in the company, it would be interesting to know what experience they would require to accept an applicant as a Senior First Officer......and would he get the higher salary from commencement of employment!!

Perhaps too, there may be JET2 First Officers who may not have completed their 2 year employment period with JET2 but could now be promoted if they meet the new entrant qualifications for SFO........and get the higher salary.....

There again maybe it was a simple error in the advert and there is no desperate need to offer experienced SFOs a better salary to entice them to work for JET2.

there is more money for SFO BUT i think thats a typo in the advert, I think its unlikely that SFO will be offered on joining as you need 2 years in the company, good sims etc etc, tho i may be wrong.....

Full time type rated Captain: 67K

Does that sound about right?

You forget our 2.5% increase as of 1 Apr!!!

Capt basic now 69K.

There is loss of licence insurance and you are eligible for the company pension after 6 months.

Hope this helps.

I never kiss and tell.
Are they giving increments yet?

I shouldn't really post, but I am still miffed with the way we were all treated during last years recruitment and just can't get the bitter taste out of my mouth. I am sure things will sort themselves out now the summer bookings are being taken.

I totally agree. The way the recruitment was run was a total disaster, but I managed to stick with it, and once you're in it's actually a great place to work. I just wonder how many good guys weren't recruited due to HR!

The SFO pay is a tad over £47,000 but for SFO, 3 years service, ATPL (Unfrozen), Recommendation.

No increments.

roster pattern

Hello

Does anyone know a typical roster pattern for 737 LBA based F/O?

Days on/days off?
Number of sectors?
Standbys etc?

Have searched the thread but cannot find anything.

Cheers

Currently approx 95 hours a month, frequently 6 days on. Roster changes daily at the moment, it is supposed to calm down "soon".
