Hi Alcongo,

Thanks for your clarification.

You are absolutely right and I exactly think the same way. The world is very big and comprised of many, many different kinds of airlines ! It is definitely very hard to find a job and only those who will not give up will succeed !

Nonetheless, I do understand that our friend is quite disappointed because he certainly received very few invitations for attending pilot selection and this one was of great hope for him. The sky is clearing up now after the very hard time we went through and he and us should receive other opportunities within the coming months. It is exactly not the time to give up !

In a nutshell, you are the direct evidence that perseverance worth the trouble !

Cheers...

Do you know if they serve dinner at the ibis?

Dlr 28/01

Hi Olivier and Pec00,

For my part, as I told you, I booked a room at the Motel one and will arrive over there the 27th in the afternoon.

I don't know whether it is possible to have dinner at the Ibis or the Motel one. According to the Ibis website (general website), it seems to be the case.

Anyway, if you are Ok, you could meet and have the dinner together, at the Hotel or at the airport.

I will connect my laptop on the forum upon arrival at the hotel, so as to have the possibility to discuss with you if necessary.

Have a good day guys,

Cheers

Everybody,

I would like to inform you all that I just received an email from Doris that I passed the first part of the selection proces which I did on January 14th! (DLR GU) Did anybody else from the 14th pass the exam!?

Next step: Simulator screening
What I do know is: It will be in Hamburg again, it will be a 737-300 simulator, you will have 2 sessions of 45 minutes each................ that's all that I know. (please correct me if I am wrong) Is there more to know? What kind of approaches will we be doing and where? I heard people talking about special approach plates, it that true? All information is welcome. Thanks!

Cheers!

Congratulations on passing!

Just curious, have you received a date for the sim assessment yet? Just wondering how much time there is between assessments.

Thanks

ATPL Questions

Hi Everybody,

Are the ATPL questions likely to be asked at the DLR assessment available? I've looked but they are eluding me!

If anyone knows what they are or how best to prepare for them, that would be hugely appreciated.

I am reading old notes etc. but not sure that is best use of time!

All the best and good luck to those who have the test coming up.
