Is the intention of this thread to help, inform and hopefully embellish the knowledge that is accumulating on this thread or for the purpose of self aggrandisement?
I have read with interest some of your previous comments and find it a little perplexing as to why you feel the necessity to contribute so little to what seems a generally positive thread in an often negative forum.
I hope the general population of this thread continue with what is generally an extremely accurate and informative representation of what BA selection comprises of and is selecting towards.

Regarding t-DODAR. Essentially for the purposes of the sim assesment all BA want to see is some form of analytical decision making. GRADE, as used by CTC for example, would be perfectly adequate too. T-DODAR would be the preferred option though because that's what the assessor knows!

Is there anyone here that at the time of the 1st assessment was holding a JAA licence not UK issued?
Most of the companies usually ask to convert the licence only if a job is offered
Converting a licence issued by another JAA member state is pretty quick and easy but still it costs a couple of hundreds pounds and it is a pain in the ass keep converting back and forth depending where you will have your next interview
Any help?

Cranebank is pretty full at the moment. The standard training 'package' is two pilots working a 'Carrel' CBT/Systems trainer then off to the Sim as a pair for the conversion package.
The whole course 'generally' takes about 21 days depending upon your experience and I seem to remember there are about 10 Carrels and three Full motion Simulators available for training. Add to that command conversions, continuity training and 're-treads' all jostling for the same Sims and I think you can see that it is pretty hectic!
The simple answer is I don't know how many are being taken each month but I do know that you can be pulled at very short notice for a course if someone fails or cannot attend for some reason.
Remain flexible if you can and please have a little patience. It is many years since I've seen 'Braincrank' so full!

BlackandBrown is just as helpful on the easyJet private forum as well..It's not him/her that's the problem. It's the rest of the world. (Apparently)
He/She really doesn't like driving for EZY either. I guess he/she is staying with us, despite their best efforts.
I think I know who you might be if you are LGW based. If you are a Capt talking to F/O's about getting out of easyJet..Oh and now single.

A little off the current topic but I have recently experienced the assessment day and the mental/verbal reasoning task is very time critical. You have 12 mins for 25 questions and I found this to be really tough. If anyone is sitting this test I would recommend bearing in mind that you only have 30 seconds per question so, if the question looks like it may require more than this time, put an asterix next to it and move on to the next in order to complete the shorter questions first. This probably sounds obvious but when you're there, it's easy to become fixated with a long question and fall well behind.

Lead to believe that the capacity test at BA involves the moving flight director long with the number sequence and shapes/colour simultaneously.I have bought the cockpitweb software but it seems to have the moving flight director test and number sequence and shapes/colour test seperate.Am i correct?

You are right.
I got in touch with cockpitweb and asked them for another code so that I could load it onto the laptop as well. Then ran the two tests at the same time on the desk top and the laptop.

If its any consolation, I did shocking on that stupid capacity test. On the last sequence, I got more wrong than right - but I still got in. So I wouldn't get your knickers too much in a twist over the micro pat - a good interview and good sim are the meat and drink of the assessment.
I did the same capacity test for CTC a few years ago with no foresight of the software or preparation. I'd say a good night's sleep, concentration and natural aptitude will see you through. Surely the tests are all designed to reduce the impact of practice?

Sim Time?
Hi,
I am new to this thread but I have a BA sim coming up. I know there are different opinions on whether prior sim time is important but I am keen to do an hour or 2. Anybody who would like to share some sim time let me know!
For what its worth I have had a flick through and everything on here seems exactly as my day was a few weeks ago.

I believe there are about 100 peeps in the hold pool. Some sims have recently been offered in Oct. They were probably late releases as they rang the individuals to book them rather than via the normal email/internet system.
