thats a negatory there big fella

I'm in the hold pool - got the great phone call last week ( ) and was told that the 12 months is from day 1.
For military guys I beleive the rules are different.
I'm still pretty confident however that things will develop early next year.

757 driver,

You are correct. For the military guys/gels the 12 months start from the day they do the sim. This is because they can do day 1 upto 2 years before they leave the forces and without a license.

regards

Have any black pilot applicants been seen at the assessment?
Any Indian's? Asian's?
Last time I was there, I only saw young white males entering the building!
Ummh

ABM

I know from a Black guy who did AND PASSED his assesment on day 1

Lots of whites failed !

But do we really want to go in this kind of discussion ? I flew with this great fellaw in another airline and from my point of view as well as our colleagues it is a great pilot and he did not suffer any discrimination during his carreer.

cheers

********** Newsflash ************
* possibly, maybe seen on newsbiscuit *
* or the Sun? or just made up :-) *
******************************
Entire BA fleet grounded for retro fitting of 'Cool Jive', wheel chair accessible, brail encoded cockpits after the company was discovered to scandalously under represent disabled people in the flight deck area. 'Blind and people with muscular wasting diseases should have the same opportunity as normal able bodied pilots' a representative was overheard to say. 'It has made base training a little exciting though and a portion of our profits, if any, will be taken to repair those base training aircraft but we are certain it won't happen with the passengers on board'.

Come one ABM, we have been through this rubbish on this thread before. Your the only one peddling the racism card, no one else is in the slightest bit bothered and your concerns have been answered previously.

Perhaps you should spend less time watching those going into 'Braincrank' and spend a bit more time studying so you can spout your rubbish from within?

No? Thank god for that :-)

I heard of one black male pilot not getting through, purely on the grounds of not wanting to reduce the size of his massive afro!

Although he could have balanced his hat on top, there would have been issue's such as ... entering the flightdeck, getting his headset on, and of course the covering-up of the majority of the overhead pannel

Keep it under your hat - ABM is a honkey.

If they brail the cockpits, I'll unhang my headset and apply for a job!

Hi Guys

I don't really have a lot to say but I just thought this thread had gone a bit stagnant!!

Anyone got any news of BA's current thinking with regard to recruitment - or lack of it?!

I am in the hold pool with the clock ticking and cannot imagine what a
s*!t it would be if it "expired!"

Cheers

Mr R - probably need a bit of revision though!

PTang - no Im not on the course but being juniorish on the fleet (with Mr Ripley!) was just hoping for a bit of new blood to help us up the list a little.
