mmmmm,

Submited my application online yesterday and of course as I am re re reading my printed application summary I see a stupid grammar mistake. I checked and it seems I can still edit some answers even though my status already says submitted. Has anyone done that? does it just send a new one or corrects present one?

So I guess if we haven't heard by now then it's probably not encouraging news? Doh!

I got invited for interview again on 27/28. Along with a few other people all ex hold poolers. Only fair really, though I believe a few chaps who got app early have also had an e mail. Some interview dates for nov now available. It will take a while to recruit 80 people, be patient.

Good luck to all

Didn't realise ssp's could apply as the requirements were 500hrs on type! Seems a bit strange if there are 50 odd ssp's in the defunked hold pool! Why just not say 30 dep's than 80??

No one knows about this one mate!

I just hope they will "relax" their minimum requirements. Being an ex-hold pooler, with a 744 licence and not being able to re-apply was quite frustrating.

Evian,
at least it's good to see that, according to your post, they kind of give priority to the ex-hold pool guys for the new interviews.

Good luck to all of you. Ex swimmers and new ones

These dates are accurate.

I put a message on here yesterday morning, but deleted it and wanted to wait until others wrote something similar.

When I tried to click a date first thing yesterday, there was none on offer which had me worried, so I called and the first thing they said was congratulations! Already sounds like a great company! They said to give it 15 mins and they'll be up.

I did this and there was 27/28th only. I picked a date and time that suited me, and believe I was the first to do so, as all 14 (I believe it was 14) each day hadn't been taken.

Pretty exciting stuff.

PS- never applied or been anywhere near this particular pool before!

Hey,

If that is not too much, could we have an idea of the profile (hours, type) for those who have been invited for the first stage of the selection?

Best of luck

Ben

PS: so far I've heard no one on 757/767 being invited for the selection.

I heard 757 courses (including conversions) are set up for 2011 with a diffs course onto the 767 at the end

People - the application stage closed initially only yesterday.

Not having a reply within 24 hours, when it's a weekend, and HR having a well needed weekend off should not be massive cause for concern. If you haven't heard within 7-10 days you are permitted to continue your posturing!

and HR having a well needed weekend off

Since when have HR NEVER had a weekend off? Unlike most of the rest of the airline who work 24/7/365 like you will on your blindlines if successful!!!

No HR sympathy here they should be working like rats in a flooding tunnel to process all those applications for Monday morning!

I hear its opening again after the weekend, once the initial overwhelming number of applications have been processed.

No! BA are not planning on recruiting anyone without the appropriate TR/hours in this recruitment period. Maybe next year ...........
