Anybody have a contact detail for the recruitment department? I have had an email saying it has been less than 12 months since my last application, (which is incorrect) therefore cannot be processed any further.

Lots of pilots retiring?...nope, very few, not since retirement at 55 was canned 18 months ago.

After submitting my application it took BA only 6 hours before I got the invite for an interview.

But reading the last few posts it seems to vary a lot.

Sim?

Just wondering what type of sim they use for the check? I thought it was a BAC1-11, is this still the case?

Sorry... I stand corrected. My brain wasn't working properly when I posted that last one. The 19th of March is obviously WEDNESDAY and that is when I have my Sim. Does anyone have their sim then too? Still looking to try and get in touch with my sim partner....

time from interview to sim check?

How quick do BA call you back for the sim after the interview? Do they make preferences for those who live far away!

Question re. Cockpitweb Micropat Pilot Aptitude software

Hi All,

I've got Day 1 coming up and gather that, by all accounts, the Cockpitweb software offers very good practice for the Micropat tests.

Being a tight bar steward, I wonder if any of you that have recently been through this stage have a copy of the software; and would be prepared to sell me.

If you purchased it from new, it'll offset your own costs - then, when I'm done with it, I will sell it on again, via this thread, to further benefit the BA-applying community - so it's all good!

Many thanks, in anticipation...

Are there many interview dates available at the moment? I have an interview next week but it is looking like I won't be able to make it. Last minute thing. Bit worried that if I can't go that I will be waiting for ages for another date.

Anyone that has booked an interview recently can you help me please and let me know if there were many dates available in the next few weeks or if they are all a long time away?

Thanks

One post,

Only dates available at the moment are 19, 20 and 21 May.

Please be careful selecting your next date. When I changed my date they send me an e-mail saying that if I could not make the second date I had choosen than this would invalidate my application.

Ladies and gentlemen,
Please beware of illegal copies of the Cockpitweb software!
The Cockpitweb Software is protected by patented protection codes.
You cannot run an illegal copy on your computer.
Illegal copy = Money lost =

BA

SEVENMILESUP

I've just done the SSP 747-400 sim assessment with BA - my advice would be to save your money, it is very very straightforward and the training pilot explains everything very clearly on the day. Maybe if you are DEP its different, but is it not the 744 for the DEP aswell?
