What’s his end game here?
i think what’s happened is he has unwittingly created a monster. He may well have started off sincerely wanting to start an airline (which with his experience is a pipe dream) and/or he may have seen this as a money spinner (scam). Either way, he has sown the wind of publicity: the patterns have become clear. He makes a claim to suggest things are moving forward (usually with a dose of panhandling); he then gets questioned about it, and he exaggerates further, or lies. Then he posts all manner of nonsense (literally anything aviation related, no matter how inconsequential to his plans, or Brexit, or some tourist board’s puff, or the Thai elections, or what his local MP is up to, or the latest from Stansted Airport) to force his exaggerations out of the top ranks of his social media where he hopes they are forgotten. Then things go quiet for a bit, and then we go around again.
What’s happened with Jet is that no one will forget, especially the many thousands of our airline brothers and sisters who are wondering where the hell their next pay check is coming from. He’s created a narrative that he cannot even begin to control, and which will eat him. There’s a whole load of journalists across the sub continent who are picking up his every word, and they will be incredibly angry when this is all revealed to be a fantasy.
Whatever his end game might have been, he’s no longer at the controls of this runaway train. And runaway train scenarios rarely if ever end well.

TwinAisle - good summary; I echo your thoughts exactly. It looks like he's already trying to bury this on Tw1tter - lots of chaff being re-tweeted to fill his feed (for now until he decides once again he's an airline tycoon). This is one genie that won't get back in the bottle...a group of busy and jaded aviation professionals (us!) have better things to do when he goes quiet. The many, many Jet employees publicly hanging on to the false hope that Jason will save their employer and more importantly their livelihoods (quite literally the roofs over their heads), well they may not be so peacefully disposed when the truth is revealed.
This could end badly or it could end very badly; and none of us even here would wish the harm on Jason that he really is risking with his current actions. We did try to tell him numerous times over the past months.

Very good summaries above in my view. There are poor people in India hanging hope on their every word and its just very wrong. Mr Oleg and I had an "e-spat" at the weekend where he told me that being asked to sign an NDA by the banks which are owed money by Jet was bu**sh*t and just them being obstructive and unprofessional. At this point I blocked him as I'm fed up with his rants. The youngster though - well the CEO of his UK "airline" (another ex-cabin crew friend) has just popped up again trying to contact Jet HR urgently via LinkedIn. Out of control now

That dirty rat Oleg E is at it again... Asking 1000 dollars for the "Jet Airways employees fund".
You start big, ask for 1.2 billion dollars, adverise yourself as new Messiah and promise everything to get the ball rolling and get huge number of audience. Then you ask for something more attainable and realistic like a 1000 bucks. At the end you try to emotionally manipulate the audience by indirectly blaming them for the missfortune of someone else if they don't send the money.
And from that big audience, there will be a few unlucky bastards who will take the bait.
A typical law of large numbers scam.
This guy need to be stopped

And notice he has built his way out. You only get your free flights for a year if you donate AND the Boy Wonder is successful. Given that the chances of the latter measure in the low zeros he can say 'thanks for the dosh, but no reward. Sorry'.
At the very least he needs to show that the fund is independent of him and actually going to the people who need the dosh. If he doesn't or can't, then I would say PiperDriver86 has got him bang to rights.

Sadly, even when things which one suspects may be “not quite accurate” (let’s be kind to them) are pointed out to the Media, usually they have moved on and so nothing is changed – too busy chasing the next “scoop” to bother with the accuracy of past stories. That “Moneycontrol” article linked to in an earlier Post has not changed, even if only to more strongly suggest there may be serious questions to the reliability of the information (again being very generous to the media!). The thrust of that article remains positive - a saviour riding in. Sadly, it’s not helped where plagiarism seems rife in journalism – someone publishes some rubbish and, within hours, multiple news-feeds are repeating the same rubbish – almost verbatim!
It’s high time someone updated Wiki and added the “Disinformation Age” to follow on from https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Information_Age (other much more learned theses are available covering Information Age and Disinformation in case you are worried!!). As David J Rothkopf (sorry about my pop at journos Dave) sagely put it in the 2nd line of his Paper “The Disinformation Age”, “In today’s volatile global markets [read any topic really – he was talking specifically about the money markets in the article but same holds true for anything] deception, misrepresentation, and outright dishonesty are among the few constants. So are incomplete information, inadequate reporting, and biased or otherwise egregiously faulty analyses.”
Forty years ago the Unsworth types would simply not feature – today such cases are propelled by an Information “Firestorm”, which means that David’s observation is propelled outwards at light speed when it exists. While cynics like me, for the most part (I hope!!), can smell a rat or at least if something has a rat-like odour, sadly many can’t and will read what the Press say as gospel. There is little (no?) legal redress to those hoodwinked – it's very much a case of “caveat lector”! You may have worked out that I really don't trust the media, nor their sources, much!
As for Mr Unsworth - not even worth commenting further on him or his cronies!

Not sure if 2+2 has been put together on here before but as per the lanyard in Jason's social media profile pics, he either did or still does work for Primark.
Exhibit A:
And for a number of years, this was the logo for Atmosphere airlines on social media...
Exhibit B:
That 'Atmosphere' logo is actually the logo for Primark's own-label 'Atmosphere' clothing brand, which they attach to quite a lot of their clothing and instore.

I wonder if we are paying for his time thru our Tax or does he have a real job such as Primark (what a cheek that logo GetTheQRH - well spotted!)? Can a "CEO" of an "airline" claim JSA? Not saying he does....... but just a thought! Who knows? Who cares?
This is the last comment from me! LOL! Back to my retirement here!

I sent LinkedIn a note to say this guy is spam. Not just his messages/postings but he himself. Perhaps we we all do that LinkedIn may be forced to do something. Hopefully.

Back of a fag packet....
Just looking at the multitude of Tw!tter accounts the Atfarcephere people have created, since 2015. Taking into account the dates the individual accounts were set up....
There are 260,000 tweets. Over a quarter of a million.
It works out as 203 per day. Assuming they sleep 8 hours per day, that's one every five minutes. Every single day.
How do they find the time??? All that and saving dogs, saving migrants, getting married, having kids, starting an airline AND saving Jet.
OCD thy name is Unsworth.

You will love this.... one Nigel Hornsby has popped up on LI as the Boy Wonder's Head of Operations. Stunning CV, but very few recommendations or contacts....
But wait - not just a senior pilot, but a male model! On a US based site....
Now far be it from me to suggest that someone is making up LI profiles to make themselves look credible, but if it looks like a duck, walks like a duck and quacks like a duck....

The fake LI profile has several hallmarks of Jason’s (lack of) grammar and writing style:
1) Unnecessary capital letter on ‘Of’ - not a massive error but in keeping with a true author who studied at the ‘Univeristy’ of Greenwich, according to his website which offers flights on ‘aircrafts and all that...’
2) Lack of consistency in job title and airline name - in one place he’s ‘Head Of Operations at Atmosphere Airlines UK’ - elsewhere on the same profile he’s gained the same job at ‘UK/Thai’ and then ‘Intercontinental’ has been thrown in for good measure. This is very much in Jason’s style of branding Atmosphere with just about every country and grand sounding adjective he can find.
3) His location for the Atmosphere ‘job’ is listed as ‘London, United Kingdom’ whereas for Wow Air he worked simply at ‘Keflavik’ with no mention of Iceland. Again this is reminiscent of Jason’s lack of attention to detail.
Clearly Nigel = Jason.
In other news I was just about to get around to correcting various aspects of the Atmosphere Wikipedia article (especially the claim to have 1,000 employees) and was delighted to discover that it’s been deleted.

Yes, he's tried to contact me on LinkedIn, I've offered him a couple of Airbus DC-4's fitted with a new Ultrafan engine with a range of 12,000 miles. up to 600 passengers with 74" legroom. Let's see. I'm going to subsidize the first flights.... ;-)

If you want to report Oleg E and Jason Unsworth to LinkedIn
I have decided to report Oleg and Jason to LinkedIn. I believe they are going to hurt innocent people with their grandiose ideas and lack of experience. If you want to do the same, (1) search for them on LinkedIn, (2) when you get to their photo page, click on “More”, (3) click on “Report or block”, (4) choose whichever option you prefer. I chose to report for violating terms. Perhaps if enough of us do this, We can make a positive difference in the internet (For a change!).
LinkedIn doesn’t seem to make it easy to contact them otherwise unfortunately.
