Lo que yo quería saber es qué habéis hecho para ser españoles, que méritos habéis hecho para nacer en España? Uno por haber nacido en España es superior a uno que nació en el Congo (sin faltar el respeto al Congo)? Mi pregunta es, porque no entiendo, el hecho de hayáis nacido en España y que Vueling sea española automáticamente os da prioridad y derechos? y sí sí porque? qué habéis hecho para merecer esa prioridad? nacer en España?*
En mi humilde opinion si una compañía necesita 100 pilotos, debería escoger a los 100 mejores, basándose en cualidades necesarias para ser piloto (el conocimiento del español no lo es) y en base a esas cualidades escoger a los 100 mejores, independientemente de sea chino, uzbeco, español, mujer, hombre, ambos, verde, morado etc....
No lo sé, este nacionalismo simple que te da derecho a todo solo porque has nacido en un lugar u en otro me parece muy oportunista.....
Hay que decir ademas que estáis comparando Vueling con Air france, Lufthansa, etc.... Vueling aunque sea española no es una compañía de bandera (esa seria Iberia que si requiere el español), Norwegian no requiere el noruego, wizz air no requiere ningún idioma, eurowings no requiere el aleman, WOW no requiere el islandés......
Esta es solo mi opinion, sin ánimos de ofender a nadie, y si, soy español y catalán, orgulloso de ser ambos pero totalmente consciente que no es mérito mío y es un privilegio que no todos tienen... he trabajado en 5 compañías extranjeras y nunca me han hecho sentir extranjero, siempre he sido bienvenido por lo que aporte profesionalmente y no por los idiomas que hable.....
Un ultimo punto en el cual tampoco quiero ofender pero me parece grave, el que diga que hablar en un idioma (español) en un aeropuerto internacional con la consecuencia que el 70% de los pilotos que están en frecuencia no se enteren, o no es piloto, o es un piloto que no sabe nada, absolutamente nada de safety....

Suscribo todo lo expuesto por el compañero brunx.
Creo que con vuestra intención de unir Vueling con Europa, a su vez, con vuestros argumentos creáis desunión con el resto de España.

Yo estoy de acuerdo en que no debería importar de donde viene la persona, pero creo que se debería exigir o al menos poner como requisito "preferente" un mínimo de español (ni siquiera tendría que ser un nivel oficial OACI), no porque Vueling sea española, sino porque es mas fácil adaptarte a un país y una cultura si hablas el idioma. Y esto es válido tanto para España como para el resto de países. Eurowings por ejemplo, no tiene como requisito hablar alemán, pero si lo pone como una de sus preferencias. Es decir que de dos candidatos similares, cogerían al que habla alemán (y me parece lógico).

Totalmente de acuerdo, me parece de sentido común y por respeto al país donde me dan de comer, aprender o al menos esforzarse a aprender el idioma local.
Y que sea una preferencia también, me parece lógico, la compañía es privada y por tanto tiene derecho a poner cuantas preferencias quiera (siempre y cuando no sean discriminatorias), pero eso es la compañía, que unos pilotos pretendan prioridad sobre extranjeros solo por el hecho de haber nacido en un lugar u otro, en eso no estoy de acuerdo.

- good written and spoken German language, Non-natives will require a B2-level certificate

Hey guys,
Im preparing for the Cae Assessment in the Vueling Cadet program and as you can imagine Im really worried about the payment of the loan through the first years if i get to pass.
I have already seen the tables of the Convenio but I would appreciate some insight from current employees of Vueling as what is the average net pay at entry level for F/O given the base salary+variable.

I have already seen the tables of the Convenio but I would appreciate some insight from current employees of Vueling as what is the average net pay at entry level for F/O given the base salary+variable.

I'm in a similar situation. I'm in my final selection procedure (interview coming soon) but I'm worried about payments vs loan. Most of reviews about remuneration in VLG are negative, compared with other airlines. This is offset somehow by their bases and friendly working environment as well as free travel on their network.
But banks don't care about that.

Thanks guys for all your feedback. Indeed the remuneration is a shame for this profession and for the financial cost of getting there (cadet scheme +130K).
I recently had my interview (4th phase of selection process) and I had a negative experience with the company. I've had quite few interviews so far (in different industries as well) and I can say the experience with this company was a negative one and did not respect any of the basic rules of a professional interview . I've got there 30 min before my scheduled time and I was waiting in the waiting area. In about 5 min time, someone came and ask for my name and invited me into another room. The person did not great me, just asked to follow him., which I felt it was weird. I've got into a small room, with 3 people staying on the other side of the table.
I had my coat on me, I was looking around where to put it, but there was no place, so I was seated with my coat on me, that felt awkward.
(In all the interviews I've had before, you are greeted with: My name is ... and I am ...responsible of...Do you need something to drink? Do you want to leave your coat here, etc, some ^human^ and introduction questions).
And now the real unprofessionalism starts.
There was no introduction on their side (so basically. I don't know who interviewed me). That is rule nr 1, they must introduce themselves before interview starts....anyhow it did not happen..
Then they ask me.. are you the french guy?.. (I was bit confused to say the least.. they had my CV and my application and copy of my passport.. they suppose to know who are they interviewing..(apparently they didn't (for record, I'm not french). I was just case nr XXXX...
There was no dress code on their side, (tshirt and jeans) it did not felt professional. Also the people who interviewed me seams college graduates (two of the were very young and one was older).
They asked me few basic questions and they insist on me on speaking Spanish. I do speak broken Spanish and I understand all of it. Just to say that Spanish is not mandatory in application process, however don't waste your time applying if you don't speak Spanish. Seams the language is still a major factor. I will not go in the details of the questions, but it felt rude and unprofessional from start to end.
When we finished, I tried to asses what just happen, I could not believe that, 'that was the level of the interview'.
Right after this experience finished, I start to question myself if this is a company that I would like to work for.
If they treat you like that at the interview how will they treat you when you work for them and you have +130k debts and getting less than 2k a month?
This is my personal experience, I do not know if anyone experienced the same or it was just me.
I just want to emphases again that I compare this interview with many others I've had before and based on that I can say it was very unprofessional.
In few weeks time I have another interview with another airline, I will post about that as well. Hopefully, it will be a better experience.

That was my real experience and indeed is was a cadet position with one of the schools you've mentioned.
Before reaching phase 4 (the airline interview for cadet position) I passed all assessment phases which included a 1h interview with the school itself. That interview was very professional, as well as all the phases before that, so nothing negative to say about the school. As I said before , I did not expect at all the way the interview was conducted.
If other cadets participated in the phase 4 with this airline, please share your experience.

I had the same exact experience it's like you're re-telling my story ! I felt so insecure when I left. The French guy was very rude and it was like no answer was good enough ! i knew all about the airliner, planes destinations etc, etc. No questions asked about that It was horrible !

Regarding questions, same for me, I knew everything about the company because I really prepared for the interview, no question about leadership, teamwork, communication, stress-related question.. nothing..
looking back, I can not really make sense of what they asked....
Maybe they have way to many cadets in the phase 4.. so they just pretend to have an interview (because that was not an interview). Seams the cadets are already selected before the interview and the rest its just some formalities.. to make it for the records that they 'followed entire selection process', other explanation I do not have for this 'fake interview'. As others confirmed before, for already existing pilots the interview is different (maybe conducted by different people as well), anyhow in my opinion it is a shame for the company.

Yeah, It was not the standard interview you would have expected .... But did you got a place offered ? I did, but I don't have any details yet on the training, on how the transition process to the airline works, what sort of commitment you get, duration of the MPL? there are so many questions still, but I'm waiting for paperwork.
