Hey everyone,

I got an e-mail from Parul on the 19th for the CAE exam on the 25th onwards. I won't be able to write this attempt as i'm out of town. Is there anyway if I could ask her if I could write the next attempt? Please do let me know what you guys think about this situation.

CaptGalaxy 26th Apr 2011 15:45

@livetokill22

You are flying in a cold front

(basically means that there's warm air at a higher altitude compared to the one you're flying when rain freezes on impact.)

cheers:ok:

aero_hero 20th May 2011 18:35

hey .. the cae exarms on hte 18th were pretty simple.
Basic DGCA CPL level prepration is what is required.
Most questions were from Airlaw, Radio Aids and Meterology. From Nav they asked Questions on Mercator and Lambert charts( some calculations) .
Cake walk for the well prepared.
Good Luck !!!

aero_hero 20th May 2011 18:40

Rhumb Line Track

what is the rhumb line track from A (4500N 01000W) to B (4830N 01500W) ?

Hey,
I had the same question on my 20th June test this year and i tried a bit of triangulation
But, i flunked so dont believe me.
You are going 10W to 15W so its bound to be a westward bearing. Second you are moving north from Lat 45 to 48.30 so its bound to be in the range of 270->360.
dlong(10w->15w) @ 45N is 5x60xcos45=218nm
Distance along 15W from 45N to 48.30N is 3x60+30=210nm
So you get a right triangle with base 218 and ht. 210 (since 15W is normal to 45N)
Tan inv(210/218)=48degrees.
So your true track is 270+48=318.
In the test, 330 and 315 were among the choices-so i checked 315.. dunno whether it's correct.
If you get something more accurate def lemme know.

Aviator4u 29th Jul 2011 19:17

315 is the correct answer.Cheers!!!

flyhigh27 30th Jul 2011 12:36

Hello people!!! Does any one has any idea how many people does indigo actually needs...... I mean, as we know cae conducting exams for indigo almost every month, so how long will the process go on? Like if sm1 gets eligible to appear for indigo aftr 3 months, can he count on indigo?

planeboy_777 30th Jul 2011 13:27

They will be getting 1 aircraft in 1 month from Jan 2012 till next 1 decade.
and yes they will be conducting exams not in month but thrice a year from now on ...

cats200 30th Jul 2011 17:05

@planeboy

Where did you get this info

Does this mean that there will be no more recruitments this year after the July Attempt ?

Johny Boy 31st Jul 2011 22:19

Cyril

Get your DGCA lic thick & fast ....jump in there and get a 320 job .....get it done fast because no one knows till when this Indigo CAE circus will last long.:E:E

guitarboy 31st Jul 2011 22:26

hey guys can anyone please quote what does the LOI given by Indigo say.

Also is it in an envelope with a Blue Indigo logo on the top left?

In the process buddy.... In the process.....

As long they dont introduce tech specific exam and skill checks for those converting in India then i should have my license by the end of the year

Johny Boy 31st Jul 2011 22:42

Then all the best !:ok:

Nothing beats dumbness of DGCA so better be quick ....

Got first hand experience.
DGCA's rumour's are more of humour's.:p:p

Skill test - Unnecessary cost over run !:=

9FLYJET9 3rd Aug 2011 11:20

hey planeboy 777, you sure there no more attempts this year ? where did you get this information from. will appreciate a reply soon.

747dash8 10th Oct 2011 03:34

@ AntiMatter

tan inv (210/218) = 43.9* = 44* (approx.)
so, 270*+44*= 314* = 315* (approx.)

There you go, marked your calculation mistake in red......this is the closest yoiu can get to 315.
And yes, your answer was right...!!!!

captjj 9th Jan 2013 16:04

bro i saw ur post in the forum....what u said make some sense man.....

CASS test

Hi, can anyone help me with Indigo-CAE's CASS test. I have no idea what it is about and I haven't found anything on the internet.
Please if someone could guide how to prepare for it and what are the excercises covered in that test. Thanks.

cyrilroy21 26th Jul 2014 22:13

You should receive a handbook that gives you a list of all the exercises and other guidelines from CAE prior to the test

To get an idea what the test looks like take a look at this video
