Does anybody have an idea about the group exercise and Interview details?
any help appreciated! |
There is a rumour that CAE will not hold any more examinations as Indigo is done with their requirements of Trainee first Officers.If they hold it hen it would be purely for people with tonnes of money and a long stick:rolleyes:
Cheers Happy Landings |
were the met questions just basic questions or were they related to indian climatology!!!!
|
MET questions
There were hardly any MET questions, Those that Came were based on the JAA, or European Countries.

Just got to know from a friend that the next round of assessment will be around the 19th/20th of July ... no clue if mails have been sent out though
|
@FlaplessWings
CAE churning out type rated guys for Indigo is continuous process and will be going on till they get required number of pilots for there 10 Bus as per there current evaluation of there current sectors....dont know how many guys they have selected so far but its not end of there recruiting process...thats for sure:= |
@bombayhues
You heard right. Even i have a friend who got sent an e-mail from CAE about the test being held on the 19th/20th of July. So I'm guessing whoever have not yet gotten an e-mail from CAE aren't invited to sit for the July exam. I hope this isn't the last session! |
Sending of emails takes 3-4 days....you might get email for the july session...:ok:
All the best. |
@Superfly
Out of all the people called a few don't end up paying the $375 for the exam in which case some more people are contacted for the exam. So there still lies hope. As for this being the last session, from what I understand this process is an ongoing process and may become a lot less frequent and number of people getting selected may drop but then that doesn't mean the process on the whole will stop. The best you can do is prepare well and make sure you nail the opportunity as and when it arrives. Good luck :ok: |
@Flyingmanutd & Bombayhues -
Thank you guys! Will keep a look out for the e-mail, since I haven't got mine yet. Also, I hope the process is an on-going one. Though I have a feeling they might slow it down and also reduce the number of intakes. I believe they have about 15 - 20 pilots through the CAE process over the last few months and also not to forget, the bunch of back-door entries Indigo must be having. All we can do is, do our bit with studying and hope for the best. Thanks a lot again, wish you guys a bunch of luck too. Cheers |
@Superfly TNT
They will continue the intake of 2-4 pilots per month till they get 24 pilots..They dont have any number pilot waiting from previous CAE selection process....Atleast 5 guys got through backdoor in ( aug-nov )2009 and all this were non type rated then came the rush of kingfisher Copilots :(( dont have correct number but 26 were absorbed and many of them have been upgraded to left seat )..I dont think anymore backdoor entry would be done because they are getting 375$ from so many pilots like us rest and I dont know about fairness of this CAE assessment:rolleyes: ....keep us informed if you get the email.... All the best. |
hey guys,

Hope for many of us lives!! |
Its on and running...my friend got email on 6 july for this month's attempt.
Do they ask about Jet engines and if yes then on what type of qes we can expect from them? |
Yes its scheduled on 19/20th this month.
anybody aware of venue yet? heard its gonna be mumbai tis time. is it true? |
For all the assessments so far the center has been the Delhi Flying Club at Safdarjung Airport in Delhi. Really doubt that they will conduct it here in Bombay

CAE course
Hello Folks,
Anybody has the exact breakdown of the TR course in CAE Madrid? Is it the same as in CAE BLR? Long ELT + normal TR ...which if i am not mistaken amounts to around 8 FBS and 7 FFS sessions? I read here in earlier posts that the cost is $31000 at CAE Madrid. Plus candidate has to pay for his/her own acco, food, travel and visa right... Am just wondering out aloud why did Indigo strike this deal with CAE Madrid when we have a CAE at our own backyard at BLR! Atleast candidates need not be burdened with extras like Visa, travel and for sure acco and food would workout cheaper in BLR! Is CAE BLR not involved at all in the entire process? :rolleyes: |
I guess the problem about doing the TR in BLR is that the pilot will have to give the DGCA technical exam for the endorsement. We know how painful and unreliable the DGCA exams are hence conversion is a better option and quicker solution. In my opinion, definitely worth the extra money to stay away from DGCA exams.
|
It's a lot more than just the DGCA exams and conversions.
... and I'll just cut short by saying that they can save a lot (on taxes) by making their prospective candidates go to CAE Madrid for their training. Tax evasion, tax savings, money laundering ... those who know how to run businesses in India smartly will know the real deal ! :ok: |
Flying Manutd ,
No questions on Jet Engines.. Not a single one. Dont waste your time on it . P.S man Utd sux ! :D arsenal is the way to go . Peace |

CAE July assessment
It seems that they are still sending mails for IndiGo's July assessment (19th & 20th). Has anyone received further payment & confirmed venue details from CAE regarding the same?
They somehow are looking forward to make a batch of aprox 80 applicants at a time. So the cycle keeps going on & on. :ugh: |
Is it true that some guys launched a case at DGCA HQ,New Delhi against the way Indigo is recruiting?I heard this from a friend of mine.Is there anyone on pprune who was one of them?
|
Is it true that some guys launched a case at DGCA HQ,New Delhi against the way Indigo is recruiting?I heard this from a friend of mine.Is there anyone on PPRuNe who was one of them? Its a blatant lie, because DGCA is not a court. Basic civics teaching is going down some drain hole. |
Yeah that's true jimmygill that DGCA can't register a case against Indigo , but there was such a group at DGCA yesterday, i wanted to know if they were serious about the matter and if they'l create a problem for Inidgo but i don't think anyone will take the pain of going into a court and launching a case against them.
|
i got a call from indigo to pay fees fr the test on 19th july....i paid it and sent a copy to them......but till now they hvnt notify me about the venue....anyone gt it???
|
You've got to relax a bit mate.
They will reply to you tomorrow or maybe day after. Its not an instantaneous process. After all they will have to confirm that the payment has been received by them. |
The center will most probably be Delhi Flying Club at Safdarjung Airport. That has been the case for the last 3 rounds of exams
|
thanku sooo much for the help.....
|
wat kind of questions do they ask?
|
Read all the pages (1-6) of this topic and you will get a fair idea of the questions they ask.
|
From what I have gathered after reading all the pages in this thread and talking to people who have sat through the exam is that in the last 3 rounds (5 days to be exact) all the topics, except for engines (piston + jet), have been touched up on. Some in greater degree than others. Each paper has been different in terms of emphasis given to a particular subject, with human factors being a common topic of emphasis all along. So I guess
1. Study Human Factors (This one is a no brainer) 2. Study every topic as if it was THE only thing which you would be tested up on 3. Keep jet engines for the last (if you have time) 4. Leaving something out would be a risk so might as well go through it Hope this answers a few questions. Good luck to all :) |
hi . Even i got an E-mail via CAE. I guess we have to make payment before 17th of july. But in my email, she has mentioned only about wire transfer of $375. Could anyone tell me if payment could be made by credit card or any other means.
|
well yes they have option of payment via credit card
you should try calling up radhika and ask her |
