@ The MIR: I dont know when the next round of assessment will be conducted but yes, studying the DGCA stuff for regs and met should take care of those two topics. Good luck

Any Idea....

Hey guys.

Any idea whn the nxt round of exams iz gona be conductd???

blackandwhite 9th Oct 2010 07:25

has anyone who got in the first batch flying yet with indigo?

555flyby 7th Jan 2011 11:14

its simple

your GS will be 180 with wind correction.
you got to lose 16000ft
it is normally 3 degree glide angle which would be 16x3=48 TOD dist
but in this case the have given u 39miles as ur TOD dist.
so just do this>>> dist/speed x 60=time
hence 39/180x60=13mins
16000/13=1230 ft per min. :-)

plz correct me if m wrong.

amriteshagarwal 18th Jan 2011 06:50

Hello Guys

Any one know when is the exams for 2011 session?

THE MIR 26th Jan 2011 14:11

TR A320

Hi every1

I'm planning for a self sponsored TR on A320. My only problem is that I don't have a current multi IR:ugh:.I cant renew my IR here in India coz i have done it on BE 76 and we have non in India. What can i do about it?? According to the DGCA is multi IR actually required for TR A320http://images.ibsrv.net/ibsrv/res/sr...s/confused.gif ?
I have talked to the TRTO in Europe and they have no problem with a lapsed IR.

what can i do about it??

superdunkaroos 28th Jan 2011 03:52

^^^ you could start by not posting this query in every thread on the forum:=
gets annoying.....

koolchaos3188 28th Jan 2011 04:03

u can get your NOC from DGCA without IR current, my friend just got his NOC and his single was current and not multi.

alkatdiaz 15th Mar 2011 16:42

Shabez 24th Mar 2011 00:22

Found this

33. If Stalling speed for an aircraft at bank angle of 10 degrees = 60 knots, what would be it's stalling speed at 45 degree bank angle turn ?

a) 70 Knots
b) 83 Knots
c) 85 Knots
d) 90 knots

found this q on page 1 of this thread ...cant seem to find the answer...any help appreciated

jetwins 24th Mar 2011 03:49

Merit Not important-This is India

@shabez:
Don't get so keyed up with the Indigo exam. Knowledge is not that important to pass.
Parminder Kaur Gulati (in Jail now for fake licence) was an Indigo Pilot who got selected and there are many more who got selected and are working with Indigo. Surely they didn't enter on Merit.

dark_star 24th Mar 2011 04:26

i do not understand why some people are hellbent to convince everyone that every selection/recruitment process is rigged. I gave inigo exam last year went on to the final stage ( management interview) and didnt get selected , but only because i screwed up.

Many of my friends were recruited throughtout the last year and are getting recruited this year too ( in indigo) . Some of them have become first officers in indigo.

so my message to everyone is keep studying and keep on trying to avail every opprtunity that knocks your door. :ok:

reachkrish 24th Mar 2011 06:39

New stalling speed

@Shabez

1) New stalling speed = (Normal Stalling speed) x square root (Loadfactor)
2) Load factor varies as the secant of the bank angle.

Given, stalling speed at 10 degree bank angle is 60kts
Therefore, Loadfactor at 10 degree bank angle is sec10, i.e 1/cos10 = 1.015
Substituting in 1), the normal stalling speed (without any bank) is 59.54kts

Load factor at 45 deg bank angle is sec45, i.e 1/cos45 = 1.414
Stalling speed at 45 deg bank = 59.54 x square root (1.414) = 70.8kts

Hope this helps.

25th April Exam - Cae Indigo Recruitment

Hye,

Receive a letter from Indigo for call of 25th april exam, but i have one doubt its written over that after selection of candidate Indigo does not guarantee job and only on basis of letter of intent we are supposed to go for type rating.

So my question is how far is it ok to go for only on their letter of intent paying 18L, or else i can go ahead and myself get type rated spending that much amount of money.

Kindly guide is it worth going ahead only on letter of intent to get recruited without guarantee of job or not???

Thanx & Regards,
Manisha Suvarna

bombayhues 14th Apr 2011 07:58

@Manisha: Let me ask you a basic question. Do you feel more comfortable going and getting a TR on your own without any guarantee of a job? or with a LOI which, even though not a guarantee, is at least an official paper which states the company's intent to hire you?
To me the answer is very obvious.

According to me IndiGo requires a lot of FOs especially with the number of aircrafts they are getting. Just my 2 cents on the matter

Meathead Pilot 14th Apr 2011 15:38

Wow, you have the likes of these who cant even make a simple decision affecting their personal lives expected to make decisions at 30,000ft with 200 passenger's onboard.. Pathetic..:ugh:

planeboy_777 15th Apr 2011 04:01

@ Manisha
I advise you to go for Type rating on your own because it will save you time to the right seat and your money. there are many Simulator in US wich are cheaper than CAE,madrid.there is no harm of taking this step because the IndiGo's website clearly Dishes out the vaccancy for Type Rated Pilots regardless of which Simulator you are trained on.After having done that you can apply for Indigos entrance which will be an A320 Oriented exam.

ragarding the LOI it states that there is No Job Gurantee.(even if you do your TR)its only after clearing you checks you are in their team.
Just Read the FAQ on their web site
https://pilot.cae.com/Programs/Indigo.aspx

bombayhues 15th Apr 2011 05:37

@planeboy: You make it sound as if the A320 exam conducted by IndiGo is a walk in the park.

Don't you think it would be easier to do a check in the A320 sim than sit for a written exam which you require a lot more preparation and luck?

Please don't take me to be trying to run you down. I am just trying to have a conversation here since I too might take a decision based on this conversation :)

VictorFoxtrot 15th Apr 2011 06:14

i support bombayhues in this regard..
because their A320 TR entrance is a tough one...8 guys managed to clear it out of 25 odd that had appeared on the 26th of march....even a few guys from CTE hyderabad did not manage to clear it..so it is a tough decision..but as far as i know many people are already in madrid or kuala lumpur doing their self sponsored 320 ratings as we speak..

bombayhues 15th Apr 2011 08:56

@VictorFoxtrot: Thats what I heard too that a lot of the CTE guys weren't able to clear the IndiGo TR entrance exam. These guys are taught the 320 systems inside out for almost 4 months and if they are not able to clear it then it is saying something.

But then all said and done its a personal choice at the end of the day. Whatever one is more comfortable with. I personally would not do a TR without a job guarantee or an LOI.

As far as I have heard IndiGo has an excellent record when it comes to honoring LOIs :)

planeboy_777 15th Apr 2011 10:05

i advise you not to go for type rating because analysing your above opinion i think you generated a thinking in you that you can't clear the exams sorry to say but in future you won't be among those 8 guys who passed.

bombayhues 15th Apr 2011 10:59

@planeboy: Appreciate the advice buddy :)

1.1VMCA ≤ V2

3443 nautical miles 16th Apr 2011 12:21

has anyone got the payment mail yet?

yash 18th Apr 2011 13:11

indigo is conducting exams for a period of 5 days this time seems like they need pilots in big nos. or this could be due to the low passing rate too .
All the best to everyone who's appearing

3443 nautical miles 19th Apr 2011 14:09

please post here if any one get the payment mail
