Once again you have jumped the gun ....
Why don't you take it easy. Relax and have patience. You will get to know in due course of time.

FlyingManutd 15th Jul 2010 08:01

avalanche007 17th Jul 2010 12:27

yes they do ask but they are simple as they carry just 1 mark

avalanche007 17th Jul 2010 15:16

regulations: u can expect 15 questions, all are very easy and related to indian car and aircraft rules 1937 same like the one we get in air reg paper of dgca

meteorology: hardly 2 to 5 questions and that too general met and nothing related to indian climatology. expect more from metar, taf etc etc

technical: around 15 to 20 questions again simple and none from jet engines or also piston engines. just basic tech stuff which we have learn while flying

navigation: this is the subject from which maximum questions were bombarded from mainly from radio aids and u can expect problems from cp and pnr and also scales. but they were of simpler level as each carried 1 mark

crm and human factors: again vast questions were from this subject. u shud refer oxford atpl books for this subject

thats it
so u can see max questions were from nav, crm and human factors

total there were 100 questions 1 mark each, time 2 hours

racingpsycho 20th Jul 2010 14:34

He Guys,

This is my first post on pprune..... im glad to say i cleared my exam today with CAE-Indigo..

Earlier post regarding the question patter really did help...Thanks guys..

ok let me be of some use.... todays paper consisted of 15-20 questions of regulation....
very tricky options but familaiar questions.... like...rt failure signals, transition layer, trans.altitude,
20 questions on human factors and crm, atleat 5 about EYES,like cornea.,, blind spots ,and disorientation.... and CRM stuff i cant remember....and u cant remember those....very complicated.... its just a matter of little thinking and LUCK!!

one cp question and 10 almost very straight nav questions...like 1nm is equa to how many feet..... 90 KMPH is equal to how many kts..

So guys its pretty general except crm and human factors....can be nailed if u refer oxford atpl books...

And all i want to say Is " BE READY FOR THE OPPORTUNITY THAN WAITING FOR IT"
good luck

Hi Guys,

Can anyone who underwent the English proficiency and CASS test with CAE shed some light on the whole process....I have been called for the said assessment on the 3rd week of this month..... UR help is really appreciated....

Cheers !!

avalanche007 12th Aug 2010 15:49

@racing pycho:

the english test is an online test which you need to give on their laptop itself
it consists of 2 parts
first is the grammar test which has 2 stages: beginner and expert

then the second page consists of speech test
you will be given headset connected to their laptop and you just need to repeat the sentences which they say
but you should be loud and clear

secondly regarding the cass test you will be getting a soft copy via email about all the details and examples of it
its a test to check your multi tasking and also how you behave during stress
in it you will be answering some questions on side screen and at the same time flying an aeroplane

and then in end you need to judge yourself and explain where you go wrong

well once you have passed the written, you will definitely go to the interview stage

so stay calm and give your best shot

racingpsycho 12th Aug 2010 16:40

@avanlanche007

Thank u so much buddy ! did u get through all these stages and the interview?

And abt the grammar , do i need to go bck to the schooling stuff?

Thanks and cheers !

avalanche007 12th Aug 2010 16:54

well grammar will be very easy
no need to get back to school books

and i was rejected in interview

deltamikebravo 12th Aug 2010 17:02

hey

even i have applied for the indigo program but haven t got anything from them :ugh:,is there anyway i can get any info about it.

thanks in advance

FlyingManutd 12th Aug 2010 17:48

People who applied between late march and first week of april where called for july assessment.
Hang on there...you might be called in later assessments. But it would be wise to spend 375$ or 19000Rs on enhancing knowledge.

All the best.

AspiringAirlineAviator 14th Aug 2010 09:11

Are they conducting any exam in august????????

roshan 19th Aug 2010 16:41

Hi

How long it would take for complete recruitment process, starting from written exam to sim check? Highly appreciated for reply as im based out of India.

Cheers..

bombayhues 19th Aug 2010 18:41

@Roshan: The process takes about 4-5 weeks. This is right from the day you write the exam to the time you get a reply from IndiGo post the interview.

avalanche007 20th Aug 2010 05:51

@roshan: frankly speaking it totally depends on cae how much time they want to take
during the may session everything got over from written to interview results in 12 days

but from june onwards they started delaying and now its taking around 1 month for everything

another thing is they dont take any sim test but your sim test will be conducted after you do your type rating

also the best thing is you get your results for written on the very same day

so atleast if you pass your written then you will be given an estimate as to how many days youw ill have to stay back and accordingly you can extend your trip

hope this helps :)

roshan 20th Aug 2010 22:35

Hey,

Thnx a lot guys..Appriciated for all your kind reply..

Could you please elaborate the recruitment process? How many rounds does it consists of right from the written exam?

Cheers..

Thanks!

dark_star 1st Sep 2010 13:29

its been one week and still no result...... it cant take this long to assess the profiles for final selection....... dont know what they are waiting for...

jimmygill 1st Sep 2010 14:03

it cant take this long to assess the profiles for final selection

Thats true it doesn't take that much time, but if I have to collect some INR 10 Lakh from candidates, it may take some time, after all not too many people carry that much cash, and also if they do carry it around, they want to be sure of the goods they are getting out of it.... such things do take time.. so wait.

dark_star 7th Sep 2010 17:10

nope results are not out.

koolchaos3188 8th Sep 2010 07:23

hi
