India Based Recruitment
Hello folks,
Our company, consisting of senior level ex-aviation personnel, is going ahead with plans to recruit pilots for Indian operators. We have been in aviation related business since 2003.
We are based at Bangalore and we know our terrain. We also have strong and personal high level contacts with various airlines.
Any aspirant may contact me at We look forward to serious contenders, willing to work on long term contracts. Most important is that you must have a 'mind set' to work in India.
Cheers

Just a quick question....& somewhat bemused
On the 22 March, you replied to me in another thread, regarding a simple Indian Aviation related matter:
Can you enlighten us what field you are in, if it's not Aviation?
I find it surprising that you are ready to guide prospective pilots (re. take their money), when you have told me - all of us actually, that you are not "Current."
I have taken the time to do a search on all your previous posts, & none of them seem to guide any pilots or offer any concrete help. It's all just a bunch of copy & pastes from newspapers, or some idle gossip.
Hmmm..I wonder?? - Pilots beware!!

As you are in the field, your experiences may be more current than mine.

India Recruitment
Tempormentally, at the age of 62, I do not get into a slanging issue. So let it rest.
No one does charity business. There are fees for finding the right guys. Every agency takes money either from the candidate or the recruting airline.
I am not forcing anyone to contact me. If someone is interested, they could. I have made my e-mail public so that everything is upfront.
Yes, we have held the throttle for close to 40 years and we are at Bangalore.
Best wishes

DGCA is creepy. Not many aviators there, as I am told.
Does that sounds like a statement of someone who has been established in aviation who claims to
have strong and personal high level contacts with various airlines
Now for someone who has
held the throttle for close to 40 years
I do not get into a slanging issue. So let it rest.
I simply raised a point as a qualified pilot, currently flying within India.
There are too many fly by night merchants claiming to be long established aviation specialists in India at the moment - waiting to cash in on low houred & somewhat inexperienced pilots. I hope for the sake of them you're not another one.
BTW - If you think I've entered a slanging match with you - I'm affraid you're sadly mistaken. However, if you do want to venture up that path then tread carefully my dear friend!!

Recruiters on this Forum !!!!
If you are a recruiter & not a hoax, than please be more legitimate.
1. Get a banner advertisement
2. Provide a physical location
3. Provide several phone /fax/url info.
4. Contact names.
Contract recruiting involves complex legal issues and is not a game. False representations can result in serious legal consequences. So please be aware.

By my count thats twice that you've infringed the house rules.
What's that old baseball term....3 strikes & you're out. Well, I'd say your innings are hanging by the merest of threads.
For the record, I think flightknight is absolutely correct in his asessment of the original post on this forum.

We are based at Bangalore. We are a team of experienced aviators. We have personal top level contacts with almost all the airlines. Our Airline Resource Management Software is being used by most of them.
We are not yet into recruiting. We are wondering why? We have local terrain knowledge on QFE. We will not paint an overtly rosy figure. We will tell you the honest actuals.

Maxweight,
With your experience - go straight to the operator. You will be snapped up in a heartbeat with all that time in your logbook. Just out of interest, what are you rated on & what are you currently flying?
All the best

Time but no type
Hi HPC,
Reguards being "snapped up" in India. I have no doubt that there is lots of opertunity in India.
I have FAA 14,000 TT, 7000 wide and heavy international PIC.
No glass time however and no responces from the several India airlines I have sent my resume to.
How would you recommend getting to the area where the "snapping up" is happening?
Of course I would want a DEC or short co-Captain period.
Thanks for any insight and light you can shed.
All the best,
Matcha

here is my two cents!!
If you have time on Airbus 320 and 737 NG then you are golding.
Every agencie I have been talking too say that Indian carriers want at least a type rating and some time on type.
But I don't live and work there so I don't know the situation. Wait few hours until hpcock wake up and he will give you more specific answers. I belive it is sleeping time over there now .
hpcock please correct me if I'm wrong.
Good Luck

Morning Folks
Firstly, Opportunities are plenty at present - However, it may require a bit more leg work than has already been put in. Perhaps a visit to India for approx 1 month to speak with various airlines & chief pilots face to face to see whats on offer.
MatchLover - You have an abundance of time under your belt. I'm sure something can be worked out for you. Pls check your PM shortly - Some info I'm sure you'll find useful.
Amin - Quite right my friend. A 737/320/ATR TR will ensure you a healthy chip count when it comes to the gambling table, but its PIC time that will get you into the LHS in India. As it stands, approx 500hrs pic to be considered as DEC. Pls check your PM shotly after this msg.
Just take a read through other threads to hear the horror stories guys have gone through with agencies claiming to be specialists in India. The explosion in India has only been going for approx 2.5 yrs, & is not showing many signs of slowing down in the near future. OK, there has been talk of the amount of money airlines are losing in India - but get on board with the right carrier & things are looking up. Order books for a/c are full, & pilots are being cried out for.
All for now

For India any DEC (direct entry Capt) requires 500 hrs PIC in type for the aircraft the airline currently operates. If you have that then you will have no problem. if you dont then they might hire you but it is more complicated and you will probably wind up paying for your type and all your currency.
Have you tried Emirates, Ithihad etc. They have a DEC program. In the US try Virgin America (A320).
