VSGJ - I did receive an email for the October 12th attempt mentioning that the exam has been postponed. I got another one from Mahantesh in December 2011 mentioning that he has my CV and I will be notified once the dates are finalized. That's about it. He did the Houdini act ever since that day.

In Nov 2011 Mahantesh sent an email that we have your CV and will inform you once date is been finalised. So some people recieved that email and some did not recieve that. And now those people have been called who did not recieve that email in Nov.....Weird stuff by mahantesh...

The last 2 post sum up the entire process. Spicejet has been very unprofessional in the way that the entire pilot recruitment has been carried out. Guys who got the call should make the best use of this opportunity.

hi we will try our best trust me we have no option but to give the exam dont know we will get also the further calls for interview or there list is already ready and its an other money making scandal. i had given the march attempt and my friends gave march and june both but never even where informed of further and later sometime we come to know ppl are selceted.though the march looked a fair attempt but june was dont know.but no option we have to pay and use this opportunity to the best and crack the exams and give it a best shot.please those got call share study material and noted what u using so we can help eachother and get hte best out of each other.all the best.lets hope we get through and sail through this exam.

Sad to see this happening to many of the aspiring pilots who dream to fly for an airline and the airline continues to recruit pilots through the back door.

Stable extrovert - How did you manage to speak to Mahantesh? Is there a phone number I can get him on?

Does anybody know the number of pilots recruited by SpiceJet in April/May 2011 for its Q400 operations?

Hi friends ,
Specially those who appeared last time and did reasonably well still did not receive positive outcome.
I am fully convinced that by no means it should cost spicejet 25000 rs
The CAT/ GMAT/GRE / IITJEE/ UPSc no one ask any thing near this .
This is an absolute case of cheating torture /financial exploitation of young aspirant of our country.
So far I think no one has legally analysed the issue.
I am requesting all of us to unit and stand against this financial heinous crime towards us .
And believe me no one is going to help us if we dont report the matter to concerned authorities.
I request you all to join ICHA (Indian CPL Holders Association ) they have gml address "ichassociation."
They are filing a case against all this kind of activities. but they need strength
They are planning to send these details to DGCA and Ministry of civil aviation.
This probably would reduce the fees if nothing else happens.

amarmusafir - I appreciate your concern in bringing this up. Who isn't worried about the exorbitant fee they charge for the exam (approx. 500 USD for the very first attempt compared to IndiGo's fee of 375 USD after failing two attempts). I'm with you on this issue. Okay, so the fee needs to be drastically reduced which would allow more candidates to sit for the written exam. But what happens after that? Does it still make the selection process transparent? I don't think so. Very few (maybe 5 out of 30 candidates) will get through on merit basis. The remaining 25 belong to the 'influential' lot. There lies the big question ahead of us.

AspiringAirlineAviator - As STABLE extrovert mentioned in one of the posts above after his telephonic conversation with Mr.Mahantesh (HR head) - "The list for the January attempt has been finalized and no more call letters will be sent to new candidates".

We stand a cat in hell's chance of getting an invitation now.

about a month back there was an exam for Type rated guys on the B-737. Any one with any info abt the results?? how many selected??
