As per the previous posts (rumour), if the exam were to be held on 5th January 2012, they would have sent the confirmation email. It doesn't seem to take place anytime now.

Recruitment x- am questions ( Non type rated)
Guys, go hold of some questions from the exam for non type rated held last year. Hope it helps and good luck.
. were asked to find out magnetic hdg, variation etc were given along with all other relevant info. It's just that the ques was a little twisted.
2. Departure calculation
3. Colour of all the 3 ILS Markers
4. ILS Freq range
5. where is ILS threshold located
6. co-located ILS & DME. what is it called?
7. Freq of VOR
8. HOW MANY A/C NEEDED to saturate a DME on Lock-On mode
9. how many a/c needed to saturate a DME on search & scan mode
10. EGPWS
11. Principle of SSR, DME, Radio-altimeter
12. ONLY 3-4 ques on Met ( topics were: thunderstorm, cb types, validity of TAF)
13. One ques on 1 in 60 rule
14. weather radar- colour which depicts severe/worst wx
15. arrange in order: v1, vr, v2, vmcg
16. principle of IRS
17. errors of GPS
18. no. of satellites of RAIM
19. what will happen to V1 in case of wet runway
20. there was one ques on servo assisted altimeter
21. errors os VSI
22. a/c going from high pressure area to low pressure. what will be the Indicated altitude?
23. holding speed was asked for cat-B a/c
24. one ques on Turn-coordinator
25. principle of gas turbine engine options were given
26. what happens to induced and parasite drag when speed increases
Basically, ... 80 percent paper was from Radio-aids & 20 percent (general nav+met)
were not asked even a single ques from regs but in the later exams have heard, they had asked ques on regs and Met too.

hey guys can confirm that spicejet has no plans of a written for cpl holders anytime soon in the future......got a cousin who works for spicejet he told me so....there are some issues with regard to the type rated exam conducted recently....for some strange reason they might have another exam for those guys ...making it a third in less than 2 months...something fishy with respect to the type rated hirings is going on

Actually no third attempt. My friend got his rejection letter yesterday.
If there was a third attempt, they would have told him so.
What about the freshers exam for the Q400 though? Was Kanz indicating about the Q400s when he says delayed indefinitely?

Cactus - Yeah, I think Kanz is talking about the exam for the Q400s. I have no idea about the the 737 type rated exam being conducted again. So you're saying there wouldn't be a third attempt eh?

No airline can allow its pilots to cry foul for each and every management decision. Imagine the implications and all. Look where AI and Jet landed up cause of excessive liberties to their pilots.
They already allowed it once when they took the 2nd attempt. The interviews might be fried up but no one is going to accept a mistake already corrected. Once is more than enough. Besides the interview process with every airline is too shady to ever make it fair and honest.
Damn it.
I even have doubts over the fresher exam being delayed to that extent. Spice Q400 fleet is the one of its kind in India. They cant possibly slack off pilot recruitment for this aircraft.
It might be delayed for a month or two.. but definitely not beyond that.

well i guess u r right Cactus225... even i hav heard tht spice will b conducting exam fr fresher soon.... so lets hope fr d best... fingers crossed....

SpiceJet Last intake!
Hey Guys,
just found out that the exam scheduled for Jan / Feb is going to be the last intake for the following year.
the next intake will be in 2013.
has anyone got emails inviting them for the exam?

Never heard of that before. Funny when everyone "finds out" or gets to "hear" stuff and post it. Eventually it doesn't work that way. Anyway, lets see where this is going.
Regarding the invitation for the exam. Mahantesh sent out 2 emails in November and December. In November, he mentioned there would be a delay in the exam. In December, the guy says 'We have received your CV and shall get back to you incase any requirement/position comes up in future.'
That's about it.

love2fly - Don't take it too personal. I wasn't being pessimistic at all. It is only the rumour part regarding the SG recruitment process that is creating ripples here. I don't have any issues, neither should I stop "surfing". Good luck.
