INDIGO PREP
HELLO EVERYBODY:
My question is especially for the people who have cleared the written rounds :
I have been unsuccessful in the Indigo's test and havent attempted it after that; I have also been following the thread. So ,inorder to prepare again, I would like to know the current trend of Questions asked .
Thanks and Happy Landings to one & all

My question is especially for the people who have cleared the written rounds :
I have been unsuccessful in the Indigo's test and havent attempted it after that; I have also been following the thread. So ,inorder to prepare again, I would like to know the current trend of Questions asked .
- Is technical ,General Knowledge still ommitted?
- Subject weightage wise: Human F., Aerodynamics, Law, Nav/Aids, Met ; are these enough?
- Last time I referred Oxford for HF, but the questions seemed very vague! apparently only 2-3 managed to pass in that attempt! so no point comparing.
- What does the 'expert' recommend to ace the Indigo's test as well as the time frame ?
Thanks and Happy Landings to one & all

Solution
@ VictorFoxtrot
LSS = 38.95 root 225 LSS = 38.95 root Absolute Temp.
225 = 273 + (-48)
LSS = 584 Kts
TAS = 0.84 * 584 TAS = MN * LSS
TAS = 491
Time to Dest. = 570/491 = 1.16 Hrs or 1 Hr 10 mins
New Time = 1 Hr 14 mins or 1.23 Hrs.
New TAS = 570 / 1.23
= 463 Kts
New MN = 463 / 584
= 0.79 M
Ans. 0.79 M
Anybody correct me if im wrng. :-)

Combination of this leads to place higher orders for planes that will end up being sold on arrival.....create imaginary shortage of trained pilot's to go for cadet programs and then charge pilots from open market to sit for exam's.....and charge inflated TR fee's to end up being paid peanuts with heavy bond's.

thats correct IndiGo pays 75,000 but not to the F/O thats for the supy flying you can say second officer for maximum of 6months
then the salary increases to 1.3 or 1.4 (basic pay 50hrs)
indigo pilots fly the most in this country(ask any airline pilot)
50hrs(1.3 ) + 30hrs overtime(30,000)
thats 1.6 for junor co-pilot
goAir and kingfisher paying 2+ and that to a F/O
man are you kidding me please update your self

IndiGo pays 80000 from the day you join and start your ground training, the pay increases as you start your line training to 1.2-1.3 (for 50 hrs) + overtime + Layover allowance, and as soon as you complete 6 months of right seat flying as a jr. co-pilot, you are upgraded to copilot and your pay increases to 1.75 (50 hrs) + overtime + Layover allowance. And IndiGo also pays a 1 time bonus of 1.5 lakhs in the month of march as International Flying Allowance.
So that makes IndiGo one of the highest paying airlines in India.

Thank you for your inputs with regards to the pay package.
Any idea if one has to pay for your SIM check when you're back in India after the A320 rating? If yes, then how much?
Thank you.

So the flowchart is
That's the route from CPL Zero to Indigo HERO
- Pass CAE Indigo Exam
- Clear the Interview (375USD + a Flight cost to Fly to BLR for CASS)
- Get LOI
- Get A320 Rating in Madrid (31-34k $ + Accommodation + Food + Flight)
- After Coming back, Sim Check in BLR (13k INR + Flight to BLR)
- Pass Sim Check
- Get LOA (Letter of Appointment)
- Start Ground Classes (Start Pay 75-80k)
- Then Supy
- Then Jr. Co Pilot.

@airbuscopilot
The Type rating fee is now $34000 US, for KL and Madrid, depending on what you get.
The entire process from the day you sit for the exam to the day you get the appointment letter comes to 10-12 months. And add another 3-4 months for getting released on line.

Sorry I forgot to ask earlier, how much do 'we' have to pay DGCA for our A320 endorsement?
At the DGCA's office, are you a one-man-army once again like the CPL issuance days or does IndiGo help you with the same?
Kind regards.
