@echomikeindia

I had asked the same question earlier in the thread

IndiGo just requires an ME-IR . It need not be current . Once you do your type rating you will get a new IR endorsed with it

Jet Airways does not even require a multi rating ( hence the huge competition for the written exam)

They do however require a Single Engine instrument rating but the rating need not be current

guys don't worry, only CPL should be valid
when you go for your A320 TR your IR will obviously get renewed so no worries.

There will be no August attempt or september and october for that matter, they have enough pilots for now(fresh recruits + NACIL + Kingfisher).

Hiring shall resume end of this year or early next.

indigo are not gonna have enough pilots for coming 10 years..... 1 aircraft per month so 10 pilots needed every month....they are constantly having type rated exam every alternate month.... But i am not sure about this CAE process right now.
Pilots are flying like 90-95 hours a month....for all who gets selected in Indigo would have a very bright future, Capt in 3 years if you have the capability...
Best airline to work with in India according to my knowns working there....

+ IndiGo Cadets after around 2013
Hence the exam will be held only Thrice a year from 2012.

They say it'll be a casual interview in CASS but make sure you prepare well enough because in the final stage interview they ask questions based on your CASS report.
If you screw your CASS interview your gone.
I'm not discouraging you but giving you an advice.
So take it as an advice
