How reliable is the SIA Cadet Pilot PRogram ? Do we get immediate employment ?
And what kind of CV they prefer for this Ab-Initio Programme ?
I just submitted my CV so when will I get a call ?
I'm new to this industry. Need some guidance>

Just to get something straight here after reading the previous posts on the thread, contrary to what everyone is saying, it is not true that you have to be from the RSAF or be and RSAF reject. This programme is offered for those with 0 flying experience, I've clarified this with the HR and a current captain currently flying the A330 fleet himself at the SQ booth at the Aviation Open house last Thursday. Hope this clarifies for those Singaporeans/ PRs aspiring to be one with SQ.

I dropped by the Aviation Open House last week and yes, what @n350xwb said is true. SIA has pilots from all walks of life including Doctors,Bankers and even Diploma holders. I asked a lady from the booth and found out SIA are having interviews every single week. That being said, I can't help but to think they're able to afford to wipe out every candidate in that week.

Have you applied? All the best. But please note that SQ is slowly cutting down on overseas applicants, Singaporeans and PRs are more preferred and this is to due to the fact that people are complaining as SQ used to hire too many multi national pilots and leaving some Singaporeans to face intense competition or even jobless or unemployed. But nonetheless, please do not let this fact discourage you from pursuing your dreams, what I meant is the company prefers local candidates but this does not mean that overseas applicants do not stand a chance, they still do, if they have the passion/correct qualities and display the correct attitude If you have applied, be patient, it will usually take about roughly 4 months(or even above) for SQ to reply and invite you for the interview(based on what I read on the other forum). All the best!
p.s I'm an Indian too!
