This job ain't for everybody. 8 or 12 successful out of 1000's of applications, they will not care to update that you did not pass, or be bothered to update you on your application, or guarantee you an interview if you spent the weekend filling up the application form.

The mighty yellow bird company doesn't owe anything to the wannabe cadet pilot, we are and will always be the lowest form of life in the company...

if you cant give an encouraging advice then the least favor you can do is to stop discouraging people. there is no harm in trying to get the attention of someone at the SIA office and highlighting the issue. its not a crime. at least that could be the last resort that he had tried his best. if it was me i would have definitely tried going there. no harm. they allowing me inside to meet the HR or not is the next thing.

Hmmm, if I gave the email address of the lady who runs the recruitment whose name starts with the letter after "I", trust me, she'll yell at you, make you cry and probably swallow your resume and it'll never see the light of day ever again.

Just sit tight...

Its an aggregate of tests.. More often than not, when you think you haven't done well, you end up doing good. All you can do is wait and hope for the best. Just messing up one does not put you at a disadvantage if you've done relatively well in the rest. These tests are just to see that you match up to the hand eye co-ordination needed to fly airplanes and if you can react quickly to changes. These are required for instrument flying skills. The memory tests are to check your retention power for clearances and read back of numbers and not to forget checklists and procedures.
Good Luck

Just imagine if you were HR and had, along with interviews a whole bunch of other work to do.. Would you like to be sitting by the phone answering or go around doing your job.
Remember its a professional job you are applying for. You need to prove your responsibility and aptitude for taking responsibility of a lot of lives sitting behind you when you get on board.
Quite frankly, managing to delete your application just shows carelessness on your part. Qualities which I'm sure they are not looking for in their future pilots. Kinda portrays you in a negative light already.
I remember being told that they know what they are doing and know when to send out what emails and to whom and don't need us bothering them when they are doing their job and also that any attempts to contact them about the status of ones application would negatively impact it.
There is no harm in trying to go and inquire but you asked for an opinion and the fact is they have more people who were careful enough in filling up their application and making sure to see everything was correct and not deleting it.
Give me one reason why one should be called to prove themselves when they have already proved their ineptitude.

Sorry for being so crude.

The only way out for you is to see if the system over time forgets your application and lets you apply again. They should have a 6 months buffer which would be time enough to update your qualifications in their view.

fromdgroundup, thanks for your input.

the next 2~3 weeks wait is gonna be a torturous one, we'll see how it goes then!

Add:

Although I must say, it's truly going to take nothing short of a miracle for the rest of my other sections to pull this one up.

Hey CptWizard,

Maybe you are in another session for the 2nd interview?
Hence the late email notification.
My personal opinion.

It think there will be more than 1 tea party. They would probably need multiple rounds of interview batches to fulfill their needs over the next 1 year.

No news is good news. I thought i messed up some of the aptitude test sections but i received the good news. Rather than beating up yourself over it, keep your chin up and be patient.

How old are you CptWizard? Perhaps if you are below the minimum age, there will be delays in giving you the news of your results.

Hi all. I decided to contribute since these forums along with the hardwarezone forums have been of great help to me the past few weeks.

I've been called up for the second round of interview consisting of written essay, panel interview and tea party on the 29th of September.

My background is as such:
Business degree from a local uni
No flying experience
28 years old this year

First interview was supposed to be on 29th Aug but got postponed to 4th Sept.

Did my aptitude test on the 15th Sept.

Hope this helps and good luck to everybody trying their best to get selected

Hello,

I went for the 15 Sept Aptitude test PM session too but I have the 2nd interview scheduled on 23rd instead. Strange.

noddynoddy: I sent you a pm on HWZ forum regarding your question.
