Yup, I just got my eyes checked at Khoo Teck Puat Hospital. Cost me $110 for the tests.

The interview dates for SIA cadet pilots is from 29th aug to 5th sept for the upcoming batch. Not sure about future batches.

I've got a friend who has got the 29 aug slot after submitting application during the nat day weekend.

I submitted my application on 19-Aug, so I guess there probably would be a waiting period.

@passionate aviator: I believe you will get called up don't worry!

Most probably they are still filtering out the best and not rejecting anyone that meets the minimum criteria yet. Those called on the 29th are mostly degree holders and above and are around 24 to 26 years old.

One of my SIA friends told me. Most probably weekend would be ideal as weekdays people might be working or smth.

Wow second batch called for interview already? I submitted on 3rd of August. Prob much lower chances for me since I'm 30 despite my previous flight experience

No I was just asking if there were any. I am 30yo too, so probably less chance. Plenty of young bloods around for SIA to choose from..

Im 29. 30 is not too old guys. i m sure SIA will at least give you the chance for interview. to get in the list for 2nd interview you gotta convince them irrespective of your age.

If you take a look at the hardwarezone SIA cadet pilot thread, those who got called up are typically 25.5yo with engineering degrees. So I think there is actually a hidden preference. Nevertheless, I still hope the older birds get a chance for interview!

This is how I feel it goes. All the resumes that are submitted are ranked based on meeting the requirements. Now I'm not too sure what exactly they look for in a resume but the general trend is a strong O level followed by a degree. Now your resume has a ranking in their database, if another resume surpasses yours in their requirement criteria, then you are bumped down their list. They then send out emails to the top of the list and if you make it in there then you get an interview call. If not, then you are still not rejected. Its just that you are further down the list. If no strong resumes make it up the list then you still have a chance of getting called up in subsequent rounds. In the past some people have been called up even 6 months after submitting their resume. The times I have heard of a rejection email is after the first round when they let you know if you made it through or not.

Good Luck to you guys...

Hi, could someone advice me. If Im currently 31 now, and turning 32 towards the end of december, what are my chances of getting called up for an interview? Is the unofficial 32 years cut off age at the point you turn 32, or the day before your 33rd bday? Thank you!

Hello all,

Something strange happened.
I was scheduled for the 29th Aug interview but I just received a call informing me that my interview has been postponed to 4th Sept.
I asked what was the cause of it and the reply was "unforeseen circumstances".
Anyone experienced similar situation? D:
I really liked it to be on a Saturday so I do not have to take leave. haha
