@Murdifi,

IMHO you could send in your resume to give it a try. Your qualifications supersedes what's required, except for what apparently looks like a mandatory 'O' levels requirement.

I do not believe SIA HR will throw your application to a side, without some form of scrutiny, just because you don't have the 'O' levels. Even if that is the case, fret not, there are other programs out there you can apply for. Keeping in mind that the SIA program is very popular because it is well established and one does not need to put up the training fees upfront.

If you think that money is the thing stopping you. I've known people who took a risk to front the money without guarantee of a job placement, myself included. On top of that, out of the bunch some took bank loans.

All that being said, I also don't want to give you false hope. There may not be a pot of gold at the end of every rainbow, however if you never try you never know.

You've worked hard to improve your academic results and got to where you are today. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise. If there is something, you truly want, no one can stop you from getting to it besides you.

Hi Murdifi,

Unfortunately SQ is very strict about the 'O' level ruling. For e.g. If there were 2 applicants;

A = poly grad with 'O' level completed in one seating.
B = degree holder with 'O' level, partial retake

They will take A and reject B. Hope this clarifies.

Hey Veins101,

That was some real good reply you posted, surely it does boost confidence in someone who is confused. I guess applying doesn't harm.

Yes it is still in play unless;

1. You have already failed selection for the RSAF (compass test).

2. You are not eligible for national service.

yes, the 26 yo policy is still in place. i was affected by it, submitted my application a few time before 26 and and didn't get a call till i was 25 going on 26. saw applications being put on hold now still because of age.

Imagine the amount of money they'll save if they shut the school down - rental at MAJ Aviation, selling the aircraft, getting rid of the staff.
