Lie Detector:
To attain a Singapore ATPL, you need 1500 P1 hours. P2 hours are considered as half of P1.
Stallone:
Second officers do not get Productivity Flight Allowance. They only get Local Meal Allowances when they are overseas.

Could it be perhaps that SIA removed the 26 year old rule? Seems like more and more people who are 23-24 yrs old are getting interviews.
I dunno whether cos of Jetstar Asia's cadetship? I went for the roadshow for jetstar. For a sg male, you can go for the course as long as u complete NS; and they took in a 23 yr old guy the previous batch who's currently undergoing training.
Isn't jetstar also under the regulation of CAAS? Then won't there be any directive or such about letting rsaf have priority over commercial flying? I'm thinking that they have finally relaxed on that rule?

Oh, and by the way for those who are interested (might be a little inappropriate posting it here), Tiger Airways might be having their own cadet pilot scheme maybe some time next year or in the near future as well.

Hi,
would like to ask what is the chance of a guy armed with a diploma getting into SIA? I have tried for the rsaf but did not get a answer.
Does anyone in SIA heard of a pilot with diploma, or almost everyone had a degree.
Your answers & replies is much appreciated.
thanks in advance~

Hi SFC,
I was wondering if you are able to provide more details about yourself? Eg, are you a singaporean citizen, chopped from the force or previous flying exp? age 23 going on 24, highest qualifications?
I think i might be in the same boat as you, and considering to apply.
If its not convenient to post here, maybe you can PM me?

@dahawk
Just apply. the only cost of the application is the cost of an ishihara colour blindness test with a snellen vision test.
I'm also 23 going on 24, and I got called up for both interviews. No airforce background at all.
