I'd suggest the fact that Loganair seem to be quite successfully sustaining their operation on SOU-GLA/EDI/NCL and increasing frequencies year by year despite not being a cheap option at all suggests...

I think ATR's could work, but they would need to re-jig the schedules a little with other shorter flights already operated by them. Additional fleet commonality is probably appealing for Loganair.

I doubt this... They'd almost certainly be more expensive than Ryanair for the leisure market and offer a poor frequency compared to Loganair so with next to no appeal to business travellers.

Jethro's showing that Loganair are expecting a further 8 ATR's this year - 4x 42-5/600's and 4x 72-600's.

The same list suggests there are 5x Saab 340's still in service, so assuming they are...

To be fair, the 'old' ERJ's appear to be a good 3-4 years newer than some of the 'new' ATR42's they are getting to replace the SF340's which are only about another 3-4 years older than the ATR's are!...
