space weather last weekend

Hi, I read in the news that there was a severe space weather something going on this weekend, 24 / 25 March.
Newsweek and many others wrote about a storm.
Was flying somehow more difficult ??

Hi, I read that there was an intense solar storm with a strong radio burst on Dec 14.
Did it have real effects on airplane radio on VHF or UHF ?
There was just a tiny bit of news - often repeated....

Thank you DAR for the info. Looks reasonable: reporting points far apart = not much in he way of smoke reporting. Satellite pictures, maybe ? Just a thought.

I read that as 12 minutes past midnight, on 02 March 2023.
So, thatīs 1:03 hrs after takeoff, which flightaware puts at 01 March, 23:09.

Yes, LH certainly has huge data needs. I am wondering why they rely on one or two cables, and donīt go for a secondary connection via their own satellite dish or at least a terrestrial wireless...

Both cases are weather related, Iīd say.
