space weather advisories

Hi, at the beginning of the year, IFALPA issued a paper regarding the fact that the space-wx advisories arenīt seen by most pilots.
Still not getting them - does anyone have a clue as to why ? Any action by some authority ??

In my experience we only got them for polar routes. They were important because the company SOP did not permit polar flight if the forecasts were R3 and/or G3 or higher.

We're on a War Footing at present so the info might be held back a little in terms of NOW.
Patience.

Something to look forward to.

I agree. The briefings we received had no implications for "war". They just forecast the quality of radio comms and cosmic radiation in the polar regions.

I don't think they will appear in normal flight briefing papers as space weather is only really affects polar flights. If we were flight planned to fly a polar route then a flight dispatcher would give us a separate briefing to cover it.

I do get space weather alerts from my union. My employer probably doesn’t care as we do mostly medium length european flights.
