Many years ago Fuji Bell developed and certified the 205B which really is more like a 212 with a single -17 than a 205A1 ever was/is. Have a look at the FAA TC Datasheet and you will see it applies...

There is also an STC kit out there to shut off the start fuel after it's lit. Helpful when it's minging hot outside and you have to turn around quickly.

T1 to T2 CPDS is old hat I know. The issue is CDS to CPDS. I was told by ECD 6 months ago it wouldn't happen. The advice of this conversion being available...

Contrary to what has always been put forward ECD...

Contrary to what has always been put forward ECD have now released an upgrade from CDS P1 or T1 to CPDS T2 or P2.

If you are coming up for engine overhaul this may be a good option.
