Being new to the flying instructing market (having been in IT for many years) I am quite puzzled why some people seem to be pushing to have non-professional pilots as instructors (experienced PPLs)....

Hi Blinkz,

I've been many times to Bembridge. My tips would be:

1. Talk to Solent Radar.
2. Cimb to around 3000' in case the engine stops - but watch for the Solent airspace.
3. Go to the...

What did you decide in the end? I too have been thinking of going to Blackbushe aviation as they are quite close and seem reasonably priced.

Not too keen on the "plus landing fees" bit though as...

As with all these choises where ever you do your CPL theory and you pass then you will think that it is great!

Having said that, when I was looking there are only 3 places that actually do the...

Well I don't want a change!

After a few years trying to decide what to do I have recently taken the plunge and started my CPL theory course in order to be a career FI. I'd be a bit gutted if the...

BOXB

BOXB crashed trying to take off from a field in England earlier this year - it's a write off. No one was injured thankfully.

Am I the only person without broadband? When I looked at the Jersey...

I think I can get a cheaper deal...

Bogeymann,

I don't think that any of the BMAA (microlight) aircraft can be used for hours that can be logged on your UK PPL(A) - that's why a PFA permit aircraft is of more interest to me.

I...
